Thule Helium Pro Bike Rack Review - 2021 Honda Civic- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2021 Honda Civic, we're gonna be checking out the Thule Helium Pro hitch mounted bike rack. So today the rack that we have can hold up to a total of two bikes, but if you do need to carry an additional one there's a three bike version available as well. But with that being said, kind of my first impressions of the rack on the back of the Civic, I think it looks really good actually. I'm a big fan of these Thules. They're nice and streamlined and have a really modern appearance. more

So, the hitching post pro is definitely going to be sort of the middle tier bike rack. I wouldn't say it's a premium bike rack but it's also not a lower quality bike rack either. It's going to be right in the middle spot. It's going to be great for you and your entire family as we can carry up to four bikes. So, this bike rack here is a hanging style bike rack and basically what this means is we have the two cradles here which are going to grip the bike by the top frame here. more

And the reason for this is, it's going to allow us to carry up to four bikes. And furthermore, we're going to have these two rearward cradles here, which are going to be more designed for adult bikes due to the larger spacing between them. Inno Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Honda CR-V- Video
Andy: Hello everyone. Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're going to take a look at the Inno Tire Hold 2 platform-style bike rack on our 2020 Honda CRV. So if you're looking for a bike rack with your CRV that is going to accommodate carbon-style bikes or even e-bikes, this is going to be a great option because it does have that maximum weight capacity of 120 pounds. So with it being wheel mounted, it will not have any contact with your frame. Also, a nice feature is it has a cradle-less wheel tray here that way you can get your bikes adjusted and situated that way there isn't any contact with the handlebars or any of the other parts of the bike making contact with each other.So we're going to go ahead and get this removed and we will take a closer look at some of the features. So you'll just release the knob here and you can move the wheel mount away, keep a hand on the bike, just like. more

Here we have the gunmetal gray, and if you aren't needing the repair stand, there is a base model that is also available in a matte black finish. Now we've been test fitting some hitch mounted accessories on it, right here we have the Thule T1, one bike platform rack loaded.Now like I said, it's a one bike rack, so you can be able to get one bike loaded so you can carry it to in front of your destination, you'll avoid having to try to put it in your trunk, or try to get on your roof or anything like that. It's nice as this simple. Set it on there, secure it and you're good to go. Nice thing about this bike rack is that there's no frame contact, so we have a wheel mount hook right here securing our front wheel, then we have a strap on our back wheel, this is especially nice for some really nice bikes you might have, like our carbon fiber bike right here. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2019 Honda CR-V- Video
Rob: Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts MonoRail two-bike platform-style rack on our 2019 Honda CR-V. Now I really like hitch-mounted racks because it does make it a lot easier to transport your bikes to and from the trail. Because, let's face it that we do have a decent amount of room in the back of our CR-V, but nobody wants to cram their bike in the back, potentially scratching up the inside of their car or damaging their bikes. And, if you're on the shorter side like me, getting a roof rack may not be the best option either because this is where the bottom of the rack would be and I would have to lift my bike all the way up to the roof. So I just think that a hitch-mounted rack is a lot more convenient.Now one of my favorite features about our bike rack comes in really handy. more

Hi there, Fit owners. Today on your 2019 Honda Fit, we're going to be taking a look at Swagman XTC2 two bike platform rack. This is a two bike platform rack that holds your bike secured using cradles at both the front and rear and straps over the wheels to hold them in place. And then ratcheting leavers and arms that go down over the top of the frame to hold it in place. This keeps it nice and secure and you can wrench it down pretty tight. This is a 4 bike hanging style rack so you're going to be able to get up to four bikes loaded so you can haul them to and from your destination. Works out great if you got a family you want to take out to the trails or even you just want to get a group of buddies and take one car then you're going to be able to get all your guys' bikes loaded up on here and secured.For each bike loaded, you see it is holding it by our top tube right here with our two support arms, that's how most hanging style racks will be. We have two nice thick rubber straps securing our top tube right here. more

Our Helium Pro is going to allow us to take up to two bikes with us to and from the trail. Now it is going to be a hanging style bike rack, so we're going to have three points of contact. We'll have two on the cross tube on the top, and then one on the vertical support. The one on the vertical support is going to prevent any kind of movement, or too much movement for our bikes, preventing that bike to bike contact and swinging back and forth too much.Now I know we've all been there. more

As you can see our bike is going to sitting on top, rather than compared to a hanging style rack where it'll just be holding by our top tube right there. You can see with the bike rim we have right here it wouldn't be very ideal to use a hanging style rack, let alone the fact that it's an E-bike.Now with the Swagman Current you can get two bikes loaded. more

Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Honda CR-V- Video

This is a platform style rack, like I said, it's going to allow you to get two bikes loaded, so you can haul them to and from your destination. Like most platform racks, you are going to be able to tilt this away from the vehicle. more

This is going to be able to carry up to two bikes with three different tie-down points per bike. We're going to have two here up top and an anti-sway cradle at the bottom, and what that's going to do, it's going to limit that bike to bike contact that you get whenever you're driving down the road.It's really simple to get this off the rack. All you got to do for all three is just take this rubber strap and get it off like so. more

So this is going to be able to hold up to two different bikes with three different tie-down points per bike. These straps do do a good job of protecting your bike frame when it is on this rack, it's a durable soft rubber coating, and you just got to pull it out like so to get your bike off the rack. more

One of the things that's really nice about this bike rack, is how lightweight it is. It's a solid aluminum construction, which helps keep it extremely light in comparison with many other bike racks, so it's easy to load into your hitch. If you constantly wanted to have a bike rack that you load and unload, and store in your garage, this is one of the best options out there. more
