Today on our 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex Four-Bike Carrier, Part Number TH9025. Now to begin the test fit, we'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch and that'll allow our integrated locking hitch pin to fall into place. We can then move to the anti-rattle knob and tighten it down, which will secure our bike rack to our vehicle. We'll now go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have a ground clearance of 13 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack of the rear of our vehicle is about 3 inches. With the cradle arms folded, we've added 15 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. To access the cargo area, we'll pull the pin at the bottom of the mast, and tilt down our carrier.To load the bike, we'll make sure that the mast is in its upright position. Today on this 2005 Chevrolet Equinox were going to do a quick test fit of part #: th990xt, the Thule double track bike carrier. This bike rack will fit both class 2 and class 2 receiver hitches along with class 3 as well. In this application well be using a class 2 hitch. Well start of by installing the rack into the hitch, then well tighten down the anti-rattle bolt. The rack does come with a tool to tighten down the bolt, but inch will work just fine. Once the bolt is tightened down we can install the lock on the other side. more

Part number TH9029 with our vehicle already equipped with a two-inch hitch in our bike carrier already preassembled were ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. Well begin by inserting the shank in to the hitch well line up the hitch pin hole and then well go ahead and install our anti-rear bolt with our anti rear snagged up when go ahead and tight it down using our wrench. Now that the bike rack is secured to the vehicle we go ahead and show you couple of measurements from the bottom of the bike-rack to the floor is 12 1/2 inches from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the vehicle is five inches. Now we go ahead and pull the bike rack out of the way and now open cargo door. As you can see we have full access to the cargo area. more

Okay today on this 2005 Chevy Equinox, we are going to do a quick test fit of part number y02420, Yakima StickUp 2 Bike rack. This bicycle rack will work with 1-1/4 receiver hitches class 2 only as we are going to use with this application, and also with the included bushing will work on 2 by 2 trailer hitches as well. Well go ahead by starting off installing the bike rack into the hitch, well install the anti-rattle bolt, and we will apply our clip on the other side. Now Yakima does include a tool to help tighten down the bolt, however a wrench works just as well. Okay now I will give you some measurements that will give you an idea of clearance between the bicycle rack and the vehicle, and the bicycle rack and the ground. At its closest point to the vehicle bumper we are looking at 1 of clearance, and from the bottom of the bike rack down to the ground were looking at 12 of clearance. more

To start off this bike carrier will fit 2 inch receiver hitches as well as inch and 1/4 class one and class two inchess. This application will be using a class 2 receiver hitch, we will use the anti-rattle bolt to hold it in place and we inchesll use the 3/4 inch wrench to tighten it down, and then we will install the safety clip on the other side. The distance between the bumper and the bike rack is going to be 4-3/4 inches, and then next we will give you the measurement between the ground and the bottom of the bike rack, which will be 11 inches. Alright we will go ahead and remove the pin at the bottom. We will go ahead and tilt back the bicycle rack, and check for access to the back of the vehicle. more
