Here's what our tire chain looks like as it's laid out on the ground. As you can see, we have this ladder pattern here, which goes across the tread of the tire, and these V-Bar links right here will help dig into the ice and the snow and help give us traction, especially when there's a lot of deep snow or thick ice out there. Now on the outside edge of the tire here, we'll have these cams here, which we'll use to provide a tool to help tighten up the chains, to take out the slack on them. Today, we are taking a look at and installing the titan snow chains with cams, part number TC3831CAM. These snow chains are going to have the ladder pattern design with the v-bar link. This is going to be for our tire size of 35x12.50x17. You can see that you are going to have those durable chains and cam tensioners to help tighten everything up. Those durable chains are going to stand up against the weather and any kind of corrosion that may happen. Another nice thing about these is they are going to have the twisted-link design, which is going to add to the durability and traction on the road with those starts and stops. With these chains in particular, they are going to have the v-bars welded onto them. These are going to add a really aggressive traction that is going to help on thick ice or packed snow (also great for deep snow). These chains are going to be really easy to put in place and make sure that you are going to remain safe on the road. Keep in mind that these chains are going to have built-in cam tighteners that are going to make it easier to achieve a tight and secure fit. Rubber or chain adjusters can also be used for additional security and making sure that they get nice and tight if there is still a little bit of slack. Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chain Review - 2014 Ford Fiesta- Video
On this 2014 Ford Fiesta, we're going to review and install the Titan Chain Cable Snow Tire Chains, Part Number TC1026. For reference we're working with a tire size today 185 x 60 x 15. We're going ahead and show what to look for before we put them on. Now this low-profile chain is DOT approved to meet minimum requirements. This will be your best bet for around town use such as a snowy day, so that way you'll be spinning out at every stop sign or stop light. This is a great to keep in your vehicle on the highway, in case you climb a hill and everybody else is spinning out on that as well. This end of a snow chain always goes towards the front of the vehicle. If you look underneath the crossbar here, it has an actual label Tire Side so we want this side to face the ice and snow. more

On this 2014 Ford Fiesta we're gong to review and install Titan snow tire chains. Part number TC 1126. This is a class S chain. It is designed for vehicles that have limited clamp between the tire and the body work, and the suspension component behind the tire. Can you see a little bit of a twisted link here. A little bit more detail when it's on the tire, and again this is great for snow and also it gets a good grip on the ice as well. Now, when installing your tire chains for the first time, we recommend you do it in a controlled environment as it can be a little cumbersome the first couple of times. Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2010 Ford Escape- Video
Today, on our 2010 Ford Escape, we're going to review an install, the Glacier Cable snow tire chains, part number PW2029C. We'll be installing our tire chains on tire size P23570R16. Now, to begin our install, we've gone ahead and laid our tire chain out here on the floor. Here, on one end of our tire chains, the inner and outer cable will have adjustable notches. This will help to compensate for different tire sizes and tread depths. Our cross chain will be our traction and it has hardened steel rollers going across the cable. This will provide excellent traction in the snowy and icy conditions. At the end of each cross link will be a hook where it connects to the inner and outer cables. more

Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2015 Ford Explorer- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford Explorer we're going to be doing a test fit of the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW2029C. Tire size on this vehicle is going to be 245/55R18s. What you're going to want to do first is lay them out and make sure you don't have any tangles or kinks. You want to make sure that you have the right side on the vehicle. This is in the left hand side and it shows the tire rotation direction. So, we'll take our snow chains and we'll just wrap them over the tire. You want to get them as centered as possible, with the excess coming around the bottom. We'll go around the back and hook up the back first. more

Pewag All Square Mud Service Tire Chains Review - 2005 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2005 Ford F150 we will be test-fitting the Pewag All Square Mud Service Snow Chains, part number PWE2439S. As you can see here, we just pulled our chain out of our box and it's all tangled up. Let's go ahead and untangle it. You want to make sure that all the kinks and everything is out of the chain. Once you have that done, we'll go ahead and make sure that the sharp part of the inner chains is facing outwards. With it laid out like this, all we've got to do is pick up the outside and lay it over the tire. We'll go ahead and hook up the back side to the second link. more

Today on 2005 Ford F150 we'll be doing a test of the Titan Chains, TC2228SCAM. Tire chain size is going to be 265/70 17's on these General Tires. We'll go ahead and throw the chains over. First you're going to lay them out so that the buckles are facing inwards, and that your tensioners will be on inside for when you lay them out. All your buckles and hooks are facing outwards, and your tensioners are on the outside. Now you'll get your hook; go ahead and connect the inside of your chains using the hook to your long lead. more

Our tire on our 2005 Ford is going to be 265-70-R17's. The first thing you do when you get them out of the bag is go ahead and lay them out. You want to make sure that you get all the tangles and any kinks out of the way. It's best to lay them down with your cam tighteners to the inside, so that way when we wrap them over they'll be on the outside of the tire. more
