Now this is designed to work with both 1-1/4" and 2" hitches and has a weight capacity of 300 pounds. Although it does have a pretty high weight capacity, it is very lightweight so it's easy to insert and take out of your hitch. The first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements. Starting off with our ground clearance, to the bottom of this bolt here we're going to have about 12-1/2". That is because we do have a raised shank at the back which is going to lift our carrier even higher than our hitch. more
