To begin our test fit,we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up our holes, thread in our anti-rattle bolt, and tighten it with a wrench. We're ready to take some measurements. We have about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to our RAV4 is about 5 inches and overall, we'll be adding about 12 inches. We'll pull the red handle at the top of the carrier to lower it down into the loading position. more

Today on our 2013 Toyota RAV4, we will be test fitting the 20x47 Maxxtow Cargo Carrier for two inch hitches with a capacity of 500 pounds. It's part number MT70108. We will begin our test fit by sliding the shank of our carrier into our receiver tube of our hitch, line up our holes and secure it with a pin and clip. Now, we'll go over some measurements. Here at the rear of the carrier, we have about 10 and a half inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to our vehicle is about six inches and overall, we have added about 28 and a half inches to the RAV4. When opening the rear hatch, it breaks over the carrier at about 15 and a half inches. The exhaust on our RAV4 exits the passenger side and is turned downward. It is about 12 inches from our carrier. more

To begin our test fit, we will slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver of the car, line up our holes, and secure it with the pin and clip. Now let's get some measurements. You will have about 11" of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of the vehicle is about 1/4", and overall you'll add about 9-1/2" to the vehicle. We will pull the pin and clip at the bottom of the carrier to allow it to unfold into loading position. Now we'll take a few measurements. At the rear of the carrier, we have about 16-1/2" of ground clearance. The closest point of the carrier to the vehicle is 5-3/4", and overall we have added about 38-1/2" to the vehicle. The rear hatch breaks over the plane of the carrier at about 18". more

Now, let's go over some measurements. At the rear of our carrier, we have about 11 inches of ground clearance. The closest point to the vehicle is about two and a half inches. Overall, we have added about 28 inches to our RAV4. When opening the rear hatch, it breaks over the carrier at about 13 and a half inches. The exhaust on the RAV4 exits the passenger side and it's about nine inches from the carrier. It is downturned but you should still keep this in mind when carrying heat sensitive materials. Today on our 2013 Toyota Sienna, we'll be test fitting the 31x47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier for 2 I Inch Hitches part number PS1040100. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch. After securing with the pin and clip, we'll go over a couple clearance measurements. At the back of the carrier, we have about 14 1/2 inches of ground clearance, closes part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 6 1/2 inches and we've added about 39 inches to the overall length of our Sienna. Now the exhaust in this model does that to the passenger side and faces downward about 12 1/4 inches away, therefore, it would be all right carrying heat sensitive materials on this rack. Now the cargo door does beak over the surface of the cargo carrier at about 13 1/4 of an inch, this mean you can carry items up to this height and still be able to fully open rear hatch. And that would complete today's test fit for the Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier part number PSs1040100 on our 2013 Toyota Sienna. . more

With it in this position, we now have aground clearanceof about seventeen inches. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of our vehicle is about seven inches, and we've added about forty and a half inches to the overall length of our Highlander. When opening our rear hatch door, we see that it breaks over our carrier at about seventeen inches. The exhaust system on this vehicle exits on the passenger side, and sits about twenty-one inches away from our carrier. This measurement is important to keep in mind when hauling materials that may be sensitive to heat. MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2012 Toyota Tacoma

Today, on our 2012 Toyota Tacoma, we'll be test-fitting the 17 x 50 Maxxtow Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number NT70107. To begin our test-fit, we'll slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole and install our pin and clip. Now, I'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 15.5 inches of ground clearance, the closest point of the carrier to the rear of our Tacoma is about 3 inches. We've added about 23 inches to the overall length of our Toyota. As you can see, we can fully open our tailgate without making contact with our cargo carrier. more

Weve added about 7 inches to the overall length of our Toyota.Well pull the pin and clip at the base of the carrier and allow our carrier to unfold. With the carrier in this position we can fully open our tailgate without making contact with our cargo carrier. more

At the rear of the carrier, we have about 24 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of the vehicle here at the rear bumper is about 5 1/2 inches. Today, on our 2013 Toyota Tundra, well be test fitting the 24 by 48-3/4 Carpod Walled, Folding Cargo Carrier with a five inch rise, Part Number M2205.To begin our test fit, will slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up the pinhole and install our pin and clip.Now, well go ahead and go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 21-1/2 inches of ground clearance here at the rear of the carrier. The closest point of the carrier to the rear of the vehicle is about two inches. With the carrier in the folded position, weve added 12 inches to the overall length of our vehicle.Now, well go ahead and pull the pin at the base of the carrier to allow it to go into loading position. Once we have it into position, we can then reinstall the pin and clip. Well remove the safety strap and raise up our walls.Once we have our walls lined up, we can then use the pins to hold them in place. more

From the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle is 5-1/2 inches and this cargo carrier will add an additional 31 inches of overall length to the vehicle. Our ground clearance at the back of the carrier is 16-1/4 inches and the exhaust on this vehicle does exit the passenger's side here at the rear bumper. more

Our ground clearance at the cargo carrier is 16-1/4 inches and from the closest point of the cargo carrier to the back of the vehicle in the stored position is 3 inches. Well now go ahead and pull the pin here at the base of the cargo carrier and bring the cargo carrier platform down. more
