Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2008 Toyota Highlander

Today on our 2008 Toyota Highlander we're going to be test-fitting the 17 x 46 Curt Cargo Carrier. They designed this for use with an inch-and-a-quarter or 2-inch hitches and it offers a 500-pound weight capacity. Its part number is C18145. To begin our test fit, we're going to slide the shank of our carrier right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll slide it in far enough so we can get our threaded hole lined up with our hitch pin hole and then take our anti-rattle bolt and thread that in. Then we'll tighten it down with our wrench. As we tighten this down, this is going to secure the connection point between our carrier and our vehicle, taking all the play out to give us a very secure ride. We're going to get a set of clearance measurements so we can determine exactly how much room that we have to work with. more
