Today on our 2013 Kia Sportage, well be test fitting the 23x56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier for 2 inch hitches, part number 59550. To begin our test fit, well slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening it with a wrench. Now well go over a few clearance of measurements. We have about 10-1/2 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of our carrier to the rear of our Sportage is about 2-1/2 inches. Weve added 11 inches to the overall length of our vehicle. more

Today on our 2013 Kia Sportage, we'll be test fitting the Max Tow Cargo Carrier for 2" hitches, part #MT70107. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch and securing it with the pin and clip. Now we'llgo ahead and go over some clearance measurements to see how to the two fit together. At the rear of the carrier, we have about 10-1/2" of ground clearance. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Sportage is about 2" away, and wehavea total of about 21-1/2" to the overall length of our vehicle. Now the exhaust does exit on the passenger side about 10-1/2" away from the platform of our carrier and the cargo door does break over the surface of our carrier at about 18". Therefore, you can carry deer up to about 18" high and still have full access to the rear hatch. That will complete today's test fit for the Max Tow Cargo Carrier, part #MT70107 on our 2013 Kia Sportage. more

Today on our 2013 Kia Sportage, we'll be test fitting the Curt aluminum cargo carrier, part number C18100. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch and securing it with a pin and clip. Now that the carrier is secured we'll go over a couple clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about nine inches of ground clearance with the platform folded up. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Sportage is about a quarter of an inch away. I would use caution when carrying the cargo carrier in its folded up position as there is some rattle when using a normal pin and clip. more

Today on our 2013 Kia Sportage, we'll be test fitting the Kirk 17 x 46 Cargo Carrier, part #C18145. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the Cargo Carrier into the opening of the hitch, threading in our ___ and tightening it with awrench. With the Cargo Carrier secured, we'll go over a few clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. We have about 10-1/2" of ground clearance at the rear of the Cargo Carrier. The closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Sportageis about 1" away, and we've added about 20-1/2" to the overall length of our vehicle. Now the exhaust on this particular vehicle does exit on the passenger side about 9-1/2" away from the base of our Cargo Carrier. Now the cargo door does break over the surface of our carrier at about 18". more

Surco Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2013 Kia Sportage

Today on our 2013 Kia Sportage, we'll be test fitting the Surco Cargo Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part number 52018. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the carrier into the opening of the hitch and securing it with a pin and clip. Now, with the carrier secured to our vehicle, we'll go over a couple of clearance measurements to see how the two fit together. At the rear of the carrier, we have about 10-1/2 inches of ground clearance. Closest part of the carrier to the closest part of our Sportage is about 1/2 inch away, and we've added about 26-1/2 inches to the overall length of our Sportage. Now, the vehicle's exhaust does exit on the passenger's side, about 10 inches away, and the cargo door does break over the surface of the carrier at about 17 inches. That will complete today's test fit for the Surco Cargo Carrier, part number 52018, on our 2013 Kia Sportage. . more
