Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Installaiton - 2021 Volvo XC90- Video
Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2021 Volvo XC90, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT Class 3 two-inch trailer hitch receiver. As you can see in the name of it, it will have a two-inch by two-inch hitch receiver opening, which is gonna be great for those different accessories, two inches going to be the most common hitch receiver size for ball mounts, cargo carriers, bike racks, or whatever you have a reason to get a hitch for. Adding a hitch to your XC90 is going to make it so much more versatile, because you can get some of those items out of your vehicle and onto a cargo carrier, such as a bike rack. You can put bikes on it, get them to and from the trail, or on your trip, or if you wanna tow a small trailer. This hitch is going to be rated for 900 pounds max gross tongue weight, which is the downward pressure on the inside of the receiver tube, and a gross trailer weight rating of 6,000 pounds. more

Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver Installation - 2020 Volvo XC90- Video
Hey, guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2020 Volvo XC90, and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Stealth Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver. The biggest difference between this trailer hitch receiver and many others that we have on our website is that, when you're not using this hitch, the Volvo XC90 is a very stylish vehicle, you can twist the release tab and pull the hitch receiver off. And as you can see, there's nothing that you can see behind it. If you get way behind the vehicle, you can see just the tabs of our safety chain loops, but other than that, you're not gonna be able to see anything. A lot of people don't like, when you have a very stylish car like this, they don't like to see the hitch receiver hanging down below the rear fascia of the car. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Volvo XC90- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and show you how to install the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver here on a 2012 Volvo XC90. So this is what our trailer hitch looks like installed in. At first glance, actually, I really liked the look of this thing. It has a hidden design, meaning the cross tube is actually tucked away behind the bumper there so the only thing we are gonna see is the receiver tube, and all of our hitch components are also coated in a black powder coated finish which is gonna help protect the hitch from rust and corrosion over time, being that it is on the underside of the vehicle. So adding a trailer hitch to your XC90 here, it's gonna be a great idea because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile, and there's a number of different things you can use a trailer hitch for aside from just towing. If we wanted to hit the trails, we could easily attach a hitch-mounted bike rack, or if we wanted to free up some space inside the vehicle for the family on those long road trips, we could easily attach a hitch-mounted cargo carrier basket as well. more

And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. That's right, it's completely hidden because this is the stealth hitch. The hitch is installed behind the fascia here, and there is a mechanism located on our hitch that will allow you to insert a rack receiver or a drawbar, depending on the particular accessories that you've purchased for your stealth hitch. You can see on our Draw-Tite, we've got the rolled steel style safety chain connection point, with plenty of room to get whatever size chain connected we might want to, whereas when we look at the Curt, you can see it's more of a vertical plate that comes down. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Volvo XC90 - Curt- Video
Speaker 1: Today, on our 2016 Volvo XC90, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number C13233. Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. The cross tube is going to be visible and it's going to sit right below our bumper. Now, it is a class three hitch, which means it's going to give us that 2-inch by 2-inch receiver tube opening, and it does have a reinforced collar, giving it added strength and a nice, clean finished look. Our hitch is going to use a standard 5/8 pin and clip, it's not included, but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3. Now, as far as the safety chain loops go, it's going to be a plate style, welded to the bottom of our receiver tube. more

Today in our 2017 Volvo XC90, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76014. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now our hitch is completely hidden behind our rear fascia. The only part that you'll see sticking down is the class III 2" receiver itself and then our safety chain loops here on the side. I really like these safety chain loops because if you have a large locking device inserted in your pinhole, they're not going to be obstructed and you can still easily clip on to them. Towards the front of the vehicle you'll find our industry standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. Towards the rear of the hitch you'll find a J-pin stabilization device hole. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Volvo XC90- Video
Today on our 2016 Volvo XC90, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Max Frame Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76014. Here is what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's nice and tucked up underneath the fascia of the vehicle and there's nothing hanging down at all that you can see, besides the actual two inch class III receiver opening and our safety chain loops here on the bottom. What I like about these safety chain loops being on the bottom like this, is that it won't interfere if we have a locking device to secure our ball mount or any hitch mount accessory we have, so it's still easy to get to. You don't have to worry about fighting to get around the thing sticking out to clip in. It makes it easier to use. You may notice we have two holes on our hitch here. more

Today, on this 2008 Volvo XC90, we're going to review and install this hidden hitch, class 3, 2 inch receiver hitch, part number 87810. All right, this is what the hitch looks like once installed on our XC90. All you can really see is just the receiver opening itself, which is pretty nice because all of the body of the hitch is actually hidden behind the bumper. This will be your 2 inch opening right here, which has a nice rounded collar for reinforcement on the hitch. If we take a look at the side of the hitch here, you'll notice two hitch pin holes. All of your accessories and your ball mounts will use the 5/8's on an inch hitch pin hole right here. This secondary hole here is designed for a J-pin stabilization pin. more

This'll be your 2" opening right here, which has a nice rounded collar for reinforcement on the hitch. If we take a look at the side of the hitch here, you'll notice 2 hitch pin holes. All your accessories and your ball inaudible 00:00:31 will use the 5/8" hitch pin hole right here. This secondary hole here is designed for a J-Pin Stabilization Pin. This will work great with accessories that you put in your hitch that do not have their own anti-rattle device. more

From top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 15 inches, and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 6 inches. Now, I'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. To start off our install, we need to have the spare tire lowered and out of the way. Next we need to remove the existing tow bracket on the passenger side. more

Today, on our 2007 Volvo XC90 we are going to install the Draw Tite hitch, part number 75152. This is what our hitch will look like once it is installed on the vehicle. Next, we will give you a couple of measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 6 inches. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Volvo XC90- Video
Today on this 2010 Volvo XC90 we are going to be installing part number 87810 from Hidden Hitch. This also applies to part number 75152 from Draw-Tite. The first thing we are going to do is lower the tow hooks on the passenger side frame rail. We will no longer be using this on the vehicle. The mounting locations for the passenger side are going to be these three existing weld nuts. It is going to be the exact same on the driver side but we are going to have to lower the exhaust bracket to gain access to those holes where we are mounting. 00:30 more
