How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2013 Volvo XC70, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver. Since Volvos are really versatile vehicles, many of our XC70 customers, to use their cars to do a little bit of everything. With the hitch in place, now we're gonna be able to tow our trailer or use it to carry accessories. We're not gonna have to reach up on the roof and store everything up there. But what I really like about this one is the fact that it's more or less completely hidden. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Volvo XC70- Video
Today on this 2015 Volvo XC70 we're going to review and install the draw tight max frame trailer hitch receiver, part number: 75916.Nice great part about this is all you can see is the receiver opening right here. This is a class three receiver hitch. This will have a two inch opening. It has a nice rounded face to it. Now, if we take a look at the bottom you can see a loop right here. That's for your safety chains. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Volvo XC70 - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2016 Volvo XC70 we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw Tite Max Frame Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75916. All right, here's what our hitch looks like installed. On the side of our receiver here we have two pin holes. The one closest to the front is our industry standard 5/8 of an inch diameter hole to secure our ball mounts, bike racks or cargo carriers. Towards the rear of our receiver we have a J pin stabilization device hole. What a J pin stabilization device does is help take away some of that annoying shake, play, and rattle out of what's inserted into your receiver. more

Best 2009 Volvo XC70 Hitch Options- Video
Today we will be taking a look at the best hitch options available for you 2009 Volvo XC70. You're first option available is going to be your Curt Class 2 Receiver with the inch and a quarter insert, part number C12066. You're second option is going to be your Hidden Hitch class 3 receiver with 2 by 2 inch receiver. That's going to be part number 87674. You're third choice is going to be your Draw-Tite and that's going to be very similar to the Hidden Hitch above. That's going to be part number 75916. The bottom one down here is going to be your Curt class 3 with the 2 by 2 inch receiver, part number 13266. Your Curt class 2 receiver hitch with the inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter inlet receiver tube here is going to have that nice square stock that's gonna sit back behind the bumper. The only thing that you're going to see hanging down by the bottom side is going to be your inch and a quarter receiver tube. It's going to be the same with all the other ones as well. The class 2 Curt is going to have a 350 pound tongue weight and a max trailer weight of 3500 pounds. The other Curt on the bottom down here is going to also have a 350 pound tongue weight and 3500 pound max trailer weight. All these receivers are not suggested to use with weight distribution. The Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch both have a 400 pound tongue weight and a 4000 pound gross trailer weight. With your class 2 receiver hitch it's going to have that half inch pen hole that's going to go all the way through with no secondary hole. more

Today on our 2013 Volve XE70, we will be taking a look and installing the Curt trailer hitch receiver, part number 13266. Now we will go ahead and get a few measurements to help you in selecting ball mounts, bike racks and cargo carriers. From the center of the pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper, it's going to be about 5 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground, it's going to be about 13 3/4 inches. This is what our trailer hitch is going to look like once it's installed. Nice, sleek and tucked away under the bottom side of the bumper, the main mounting hardware attached to the bumper on the backside, with the drop-down like so. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Volvo XC70 - Curt- Video
Today on our 2011 Volvo XC70, we'll be installing the Curt 2 inch Receiver Tube Hitch, part number 13266. Here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. The carrying capacity of our hitch will allow us to tow up to 3500 pounds and has a 350 pound tongue weight. As you can see once it's installed, it's got a very sleek install in that the majority of the hitch is covered the the exception of the receiver tube. While it's tucked up underneath the bumper nicely, it's still very accessible and easy to use. One of the nice features about this install kit is it allows for not only this application but for other models and trim packages that come in the XC70 line. Next, I'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Volvo XC70 - Hidden Hitch- Video
Today on our 2007 Volvo xc70, were going to install part number 90804 from Hidden Hitch. Okay this is what the hitch looks like once its installed on the vehicle. We will give you some measurements to help you out selecting some accessories. From the center of the hitch pin opening to the edge of the bumper will be 5-1/2, from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be 14. Now well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing you are going to do is go ahead and loosen and remove the existing tow bracket on the passenger side. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Volvo XC70- Video
Today on this 2011 Volvo XC70, were gonna install part number C12066 from Curt. Now this is what the hitch looks like when its installed in the vehicle. Next, well give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as a cargo carrier or a bicycle rack.From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground on this car is going to be 12 inches. And from the center of the hitch pinhole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 4 inches. Now, well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed.First thing we need to do is go ahead and remove the bumper cover, well open up the hatch and theres two fasteners we have to remove. Next, were going to remove these four fasteners here, here, here and here. more
