Trailer Hitch Installation - 2008 Toyota Tundra

Today we will be installing part number 13198, a hitch from Curt. This is a 2008 Toyota Tundra. Our first step is going to be removing the angle bracket on the inside of your bumper support and underneath the rear frame of the truck. There are a total of four bolts that need to be removed. You can see our angle bracket has been removed. We had two bolts that came from the outside of the frame rail and then two bolts that went up in to the bottom of the frame rail. Now we are going to repeat these same steps on the passenger side. It is identical to the driver side. Now that we have our brackets removed on both sides, I would like to go ahead and take the opportunity to spray the threads just to flush them out a little bit. I am going to do that on both sides. Now is a good time to get a friend or a helping hand to help you hold the hitch while you put it in place. 0:55 more
