How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2017 Kia Soul, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver. Now right off the back this hitch is going to be different from the others because it's going to have a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is going to work with just about any accessory that you'd ever want which in turn is going to save you a lot of time because you're going to have so many different options as far as accessories go to choose from, as opposed to those inch and a quarter hitches. Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Kia Soul- Video

Today you're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class 1 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2019 Kia Soul.Now, here is what our hitch is going to look like. You can see that it's going to have a really clean appearance to it, almost a factory look, and that's because most of the cross tube is going to be hidden behind the bumper, and all we're really going to see is this receiver tube sticking out.Now, since it's a Class 1 hitch it is going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, which is going to be great if we need to free up some space inside of our Soul, so we can put a cargo carrier on there, or if we need to transport some bikes we can put a bike rack in there and take our bikes to the trail.But, however we're going to use our hitch all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. It's going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. Now, these are not included with the hitch, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com along with some locking devices to make sure accessories are secure.But if you do plan on doing some light inaudible 00:00:58 towing you're obviously going to have, to have a spot to hook up your safety chains. Our connection point is going to be a loop style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube, and you can see we have plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off.However you're going to use your hitch you want to make sure it's up to the task, so the weight ratings, our hitch is going to have a 200 pound tongue weight, which is the maximum downward force of the receiver tube. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Kia Soul - Curt- Video
Today on our 2017 Kia Soul, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class One Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, Part number C11419. So here's what our hitch looks like fully installed on our vehicle. Now the cross tube is mainly going to be hidden up behind the bumper, and we're mainly just going to see the receiver tube sticking out. Now it is a class one hitch, so it's going to give us an 1.25" by 1.25" receiver tube, and has a nice reinforced collar, giving it added strength and a nice clean finished look. Now the safety chain loops are going to be a rolled steel stock style, welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. And as you can see, we're not going to have any trouble getting most size hooks on or off, or worry about interfering with anything. Now our hitch is going to use a standard half inch pin and clip, which is included, so you're not going to have to worry about picking one of those up. Our hitch is going to feature a 200 pound tongue weight and a 2,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. Now I do want to mention, you always want to double check with your vehicle's owners manual to make sure that your car can handle that amount of weight. Now the manufacturer does recommend that you use a stabilization strap on any non-trailer loads, such as a bike-rack or cargo carrier, and you can pick one of those up on our website using part number 18050. I'm going to give you a few measurements that will help you when deciding for new accessories for your hitch, such as a bike-rack or even a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch-pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper, is 6.5". Now from the ground to the inside top edge of the receiver tube opening is just under 11". Now to get our hitch installed, we're only going to need a few tools. We'll need a 17mm wrench, a ratchet, and a 17mm socket, and finally our torque wrench to torque all our bolts down. Now that we've gone over a little bit of the features and what we need to get it installed, let's show you how we got it done. The first step of our installation is we're going to come to the back of our vehicle and we're going to come underneath so we can see the frame and we're going to be checking the connection points. Now we're going to have a weld nut on the bottom of our frame here at the end, one on each side, and then on the side of our frame, we're going to have another weld nut directly next to the one on the bottom. more

Best 2013 Kia Soul Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be looking at the best hitch options for your 2013 Kia Sol. Here we have our two best hitch options. On the top we're going to have the Drawtite's Sport Frame Class I, Part Number 24839. The second one here is going to be the Curt Class I hitch, Part Number C11110. A couple of noticeable differences. You're going to notice here that on our Curt, we're going to have this extra bracket on the bottom that's going to attach to the bottom on the passenger side as well as the four bolts on either side on the outside of the frame rail and our Drawtite is only going to attach with four bolts, two on each side, to the outside part of the frame rail. Another noticeable difference you'll see here is our Curt is going to have this reinforcement ring here, around the outside, this collar, and on the Drawtite it's just a straight tube. Both of our hitches are going to be 1-1/4-inch by 1-1/4-inch design. You're going to have a single hitch pin hole on both of them. They are both going to feature a black powder coated finish that's going to keep rust and corrosion away. more

Today on our 2016 KIA Soul we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Curt custom fit class one trailer hitch receiver. Part number is C11419. Here's a good look at what our hitch is going to look like installed and see that cross tube's going to remain hidden all that's really going to leave that with is our inch and a quarter opening, inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter is going to come out right here in the middle, it offers a nice flush looking reinforcement inaudible 00:00:29 around the end and you'll see that's going to be tucked in under our bumper slightly so we don't have to worry about bumping our legs on it or anything like that. Rounded steel stock safety chain connection points going to come around the bottom, should have enough room there to get any kind of chain connected that you might want and then we're going to have a half inch pin hole that's designed to hold all our items in place once we get them in our hitch. Now there's going to be room on each side it looks like to use anti-rattle devices, hitch pin locks, regular hitch pins and clips, I would just avoid anything maybe bigger than the size of a golf ball in diameter. Now when it does come to towing or maybe moving around some cargo carriers or bike racks, a few numbers you want to keep in mind is that the hitch is going to offer a 200 pound ton weight rating, so that's the maximum downward force we can put here at our receiver tube opening, and it offers a 2,000 pound gross trailer weight rating, it's going to be the total weight of our trailer and anything that we we're to load up on it. Of course we want to check the Soul's owners manual see what it's rated for and we'll just go off whichever of those numbers are the lowest. Curt does recommend the use of a stabilization strap anytime we're using something that would be considered a non-wheeled load. more

Best 2016 Kia Soul Trailer Hitch Options 24915- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options available for the 2016 Kia Soul. The most popular we have is the Draw-Tite, part number 24915; followed by the CURT, part number C11385; then our Hidden Hitch, which is a carbon copy of the Draw-Tite, part number 60347. Now a few things these hitches are going to have in common, they're all class one hitches, so we're going to have an 1-1/4" by an 1-1/4" opening. Their tongue weights and trailer capabilities are all exactly the same too. We got a 200 pound tongue weight rating, which is the maximum downward force we can put on our receiver tube opening, and a 2,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. That's going to be the total of our trailer, then anything that we've got loaded up on there. more

Disconnect this rubber hanger right here, and this rubber hanger here.We are going to spray it down this hanger with some lubricant. And then we can slide it off. more
