And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. For the most part, our cross tube's going to be hidden behind the bumper, so you're really only going to see the receiver and the safety chain loops here at the back. And I do like the way the safety chain loops are so big and robust, it kind of gives it a more rugged look here at the back of our truck. It's a Class 5, two inch by two inch receiver. Best 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trailer Hitch Options

Rob: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.So here's going to be the two hitches that are going to be available. Up top here we're going to have our CURT, which is going to be a class 3 hitch, then right below that we're going to have another CURT, which is actually going to be a class 5 hitch. Now, one thing I do want to mention is that both of these are going to fit our Silverado; however, each one is going to be dependent on whether we have a factory hitch or not. The class 3 is going to be a replacement, so if you don't have a hitch we can go ahead and put this on and everything will work just fine. But if you do have a factory hitch, then the one available is going to be the class 5 hitch in addition to the one that we have from the factory. Now with that in mind, our CURT class 3 hitch is going to be for the most part kind of a general-purpose hitch. We're going to be able to tow with it. more

Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing how to install the etrailer.com Class 4 trailer hitch receiver. Now right off the bat, one of the main things that separates this hitch from any of the others out there is its finish. It's going to be a matte black carbide finish, which is very scratch-resistant, rust-resistant, and it's going to stay looking good for a long time. This is going to be a great choice if you truck doesn't have a hitch at all, or if the current one you have is rusty or beat up, or if the one currently on your truck doesn't meet your weight capacity needs. This truck's a perfect example on how this is going to make your life a little bit easier. Now he's going to be able to take all his equipment out of the bed of the truck, maybe throw it on a trailer, free up some space and make it easier to get to. more

Shane: Hi, I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to walk you through the installation on the B&W Class V trailer hitch receiver on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. This hitch is going to be great for hauling those heavier trailers. Again, this is going to be a Class V hitch, so it's going to have a higher tongue weight capacity and a higher trailer towing capacity. It's going to be great; maybe you're a construction worker, you need to get maybe a skid loader to a job site or maybe you're pulling a horse trailer. Again, this hitch is designed to handle all those heavier loads.A couple of things I want to point out that I really like about this hitch, and one of them is going to be the finish. more

The main part of the cross tube is gong to be hidden right behind the bumper, and really all we're gong to see is that receiver tube sticking out. Now it's a Class 4, so it's going to give us that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, which is going to open up a wide variety of options when it comes to anything we want to mount. All the way from ball mounts, bike racks, car repairs, just about anything's going to be in that 2" variety. The way we're gonna mount all of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole on the side, and it is going to accept a standard 5/8" pin and clip, although they're not included in the kit, you can pick it up here at Etrailer.com. As far as the safety chain connection points go, they're going to be a loop style, welded into the bottom of the receiver tube. Here in the middle of the vehicle we'll have the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. You can see they put a nice flush reinforcement collar around it, and it's not going to extend past the outer edge of the bumper here, so really no issues with running into it or anything like that. Now, this is a class four hitch, so it's kind of going to be slight different than a class three hitch in that it's going to have higher tow rating, going to be a little bit beefier of a hitch, but it shares a similarity in the receiver tube opening here. more
