etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver Installation - 2016 Cadillac SRX- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2016 Cadillac SRX. And this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your Cadillac and it's got a nice clean look. A majority of the hitch is hidden behind the rear fascia, leaving just the receiver tube opening to be really visible and it does sit pretty nice against the fascia. Now that's something that you may notice is that panel that was here previous will not be able to be reinstalled because the hitch sticks out a little bit, but again, it's got a pretty clean look. Now this one is a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening and something that's specific to the Etrailer hitch is that matte black powder coat finish, which looks really nice here but with that 2 inch by 2 inch, that means you have tons of different options available, which is gonna be great for any bike racks, ball mounts, or cargo carriers that you may put on here. All of them are gonna stay in place with a 5/8 pin and clip, and this is not included with the hitch, but a lot of times your accessories will come with a pin and clip, if you wanna get a locking one those are available here at Etrailer and that way if you plan on leaving your accessories on the back of your Cadillac, they can stay locked in place. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Cadillac SRX- Video

Today on our 2016 Cadillac SRX we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class III 2-inch Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver.Many of our SRX customers plan on using their Cadillac to do a little bit of everything and this is going to be a very versatile hitch. Since it is a class III hitch it's going to have some pretty impressive weight capacities for towing, and since it's a 2-inch by 2-inch opening the amount of accessories available are pretty much endless.Our hitch is going to have a reinforced collar for extra strength and it is going to have the standard size 5/8 pin hole. Now keep in mind, a pin and clip does not come included. However, if you need one you can find it here at etrailer.com.Now, one of the things that kind of separates this hitch from some of the others is the safety chain openings. They're going to be a plate style and they're going to be very large and easy to use. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2010 Cadillac SRX - Draw-Tite- Video
Narrator: Today on our 2010 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class Three Custom Fit Trailer Receiver, part number 75682.So, here's where our hitch looks like fully installed. It is going to tuck up behind our bumper, but we are going to have a slight bit of the cross tube sticking out right here. Now it is a Class Three, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, and as you can see, it has a rainforest collar, not only getting added strength, but a nice clean, finished look.Our hitch is going to use a standard five ace pinning clip, and that's that's going to be the hole towards the front of the vehicle. The pinning clip aren't included, but you can pick one up on our website using part number PC3. Now, the second hole towards the back of our receiver, that's going to be for the J-Pin Stabilization Device. That's going to be great if any of your accessories don't have a built in anti-rattle.As far as the safety chain connections, it's going to be a plate-style welded to the bottom, and as you can see, we're not going to have any trouble getting most sized hooks on or off. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2012 Cadillac SRX - Curt- Video
Today on our 2012 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C13002. Here's what this hitch is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it's pretty close to flush with the rear bumper here, so that maintains a nice clean look, but it doesn't stick out too far to where you may knock your knee on it. It's got the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. It's got the nice looking reinforcement collar that helps it look nice and durable. Here we've got these loop style safety chain connection points which is going to give us plenty of room in order to get whatever type of safety chains we may have connected. Overall, this hitch is pretty well hidden as the cross tube, you can just kind of see it right here, but because it's tucked up behind the bumper like that, it maintains a really clean look to where it doesn't look like it's out of place. more

Today on our 2012 Cadillac SRX, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver, part no. C12070. Here's what this hitch is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, most of it's pretty well hidden. The square cross tube right here are pretty flush up underneath to where it doesn't really stand out or make it seem too noticeable. It helps to maintain a nice, clean look on your vehicle. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Cadillac SRX - Curt- Video
Today on our 2013 Cadillac SRX, we'll be installing the Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C12070. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, it's a very concealed look, almost tucks up completely back behind the bumper. It's a very factory-like appearance here. You don't have anything sticking out that you're going to run against while you're to the back of your hatch to load stuff into your vehicle. It has a nice high-gloss black powder-coat finish. It's going to have a durable finish for many years down the road, won't rust or corrode for a very long time. Has a 3,500-pound max trailer weight rating, and a 350-pound max tongue weight rating. more

Best 2014 Cadillac SRX Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for the 2014 Cadillac SRX. We're going to start with our top hitch here, it's going to be the Curt Class 3, part number C13002. Our second hitch is going to be the Curt Class 2 hitch, part number C12070, followed by the last one here, the Draw-Tite Class 3, part number 75682. Our first major difference in our hitch is going to be this Curt here, it's a class 2 hitch, where the other ones are going to be class 3's. What our class 2 is going to mean to you is that it's going to have a 350 pound tongue weight, which is our downward force and 3,500 pounds of towing weight, which is the amount of gross trailer weight you can tow. Now we go up here to our Curt class 3, we're going to be at 500 pounds of tongue weight with 5,000 pounds of gross trailer weight and if you use a weight distribution, you're going to go up to 600 pounds on our tongue weight and 6,000 pounds on our gross trailer weight. With our Draw-Tite class 3, we're going to have 400 pounds of tongue weight with 4,000 pounds of gross trailer weight. If you're going to use weight distribution on that one, it will bump you up to 500 pounds of tongue weight and 5,000 pounds of gross trailer weight. Another difference you're going to notice between the Draw-Tite and both of our Curt's is this has got 2 hitch pinholes. It's going to have your standard 5/8 for your hitch pin and it's going to have this 1/2 inch that is designed for your J-pin stabilization device. Now another big difference in our hitches is that our Draw-Tite, it's got this flat style safety chain loop with a large diameter opening. more

Today we have our 2010 Cadillac SRX. We are installing our Curt Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Class 3, part number C13002. Now, we'll give you some measurements to help you out with picking your ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the center of your hitch pin hole to the outermost part of your bumper is three and a half inches. From the top of your receiver to the ground is eighteen and three quarter inches. To start out we need to find our factory wiring harness which is installed on our bumper, so we'll go ahead and take these two phillips screws off. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Cadillac SRX - Curt C12070- Video
Today on our 2015 Cadillac SRX, we're going to review and install the Curt Class 2 1-1/4-inch receiver tube hitch, part number C12070. Now here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's got the sturdy square tube design and a fully-welded construction. It's got a really nice black powder-coated finish so it blends in well with the underbody of the vehicle, and it'll resist rust and corrosion. On the either side of our receiver tube is our chain hold-down, and going all the way through the receiver tube is our 1/2-inch pin hole. This is our class 2 1-1/4-inch by 1-1/4-inch receiver tube, and it's capable of up to 350 pounds of tongue weight and a 3,500-pound tow capacity. Today, in this 2004 Cadillac SRX, were going to install part number C13050 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on the vehicle. Now, were getting some measurements to help out in selecting some accessories such as the ball mount, the bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From top receiver opening down to the ground will be about 14 inches. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of bumper will be about one inch. To start off our install, were going to go ahead lower the spare tire. Once you have the spare tire out of the way, well go ahead and disconnect the rubber exhaust hangers. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2005 Cadillac SRX- Video
Today on this 2005 Cadillac SRX we are going to be installing Hidden Hitch part number 87661. This installation will also apply for Draw-Tite hitch part number 75174. We are underneath the vehicle and we need to do a couple of things in preparation to getting our hitch installed. We need to first lower the spare tire down and get it out of our way and we also need to remove the exhaust off of both sides of the vehicle. There are three exhaust brackets per side that we need to remove the exhaust off of. Two at the rear, one at the forward side of the exhaust just to the outboard side of the heat shield. To lower the exhaust off of the rubber hangers we want to take a spray lubricant and spray down the studs. Then you can take a pry bar if necessary and pull those right off of there. 00:50 more
