Yakima SwingDaddy Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today in our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be test-fitting the Yakima SwingDaddy four-bike rack, part number Y02464. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go and take a closer look and show off some of the features. Now, the most prominent feature about this bike rack is the fact that it can swing away from the rear of the vehicle so you can gain rear hatch access, which is pretty unique for a hanging-style bike rack. To do that, loosen up this knob in the back, and then we'll lift up on this tab here so we can swing it out. We'll swing it out till it's about in this position, then we'll move it around till you hear it click. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be test fitting the Swagman Dispatch 2, 2-Bike Rack, part number S64684. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike is actually attached to the rack, we're going to have 3 points of contact with the bike. We're going to have a padded frame hook up at the top, and it's padded so your bike will not get scratched up once it's installed. We also have these straps on either wheels. We have the wheel cradles here, and they are adjustable by loosening up the knobs and moving them up along the arms on both sides, so this is going to accommodate different size bikes and assist with loading. This also has a nice raised shank here, and that's going to be a little bit beneficial to you when you have hitches that sit particularly low, so you won't have a clearance issues between the bike rack and the ground. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan we're doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Pro platform style 2 bike rack. That part number is TH9034. We already have our bike secured down. We're going to come here to the back and squeeze our handle together. That's going to allow us to tilt our bike rack, fully loaded, away from our vehicle. Then we're going to gain almost full access here. more

Kuat Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be doing a test fit on the Kuat NV 2.0 platform style 2-bike rack, part number NV22G. Now, it's also available in a 4-bike rack, and that's part number NV22G-NA22G. If you already have the 2-bike rack, you can just pick up the addition with part number NA22G. I've already got it loaded up on a Grand Caravan just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it secures our bikes. It actually secures our bikes in 2 spots. We have this wheel strap going over our rear wheel pulling that down in place. more

Yakima HoldUp Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be doing a test on the Yakima Holdup Platform style 2 bike rack. That's part number Y02443. I've already got it loaded up, just to give you a good idea what it looks like, and how it's going to secure our bikes. It actually secures our bikes in 2 spots without any frame contact. We have this large hook going over our front wheel, putting down pressure to our front wheel cradle here. In the back, we've got a ratchet strap going over our rear wheel, and we can get it nice and tight with that. If we'd like to, we can even run our cable locks for some added security. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're doing a test fit of the Swagman XC2 platform style 2 bike rack. That part number is S64650. We already have our bike secured down. We're first going to show you how we do that and then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. For our rack here, we have a frame hook that holds our bike in to our cradles. We don't have any straps on our cradles, but I can say with certainty that your bike is not going to come out of those wheel cradles. This is just going to hold it down in there. more

Now, we've already got this installed with our bike on our rack. We're first going to show you how we secure that down, and then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. So holding our bike down, we have two cradles with three straps, two on our frame and then one is our anti-sway strap in the back. To release those, we're going to pull down and lift up and then we'll pull our bike straight off of our rack. Then with our bike out of the way, I always suggest that you replace your straps so you don't lose or damage any of them while you're heading down the road. Now we'll move onto some measurements here. So our first one is going to be our overall that we've added to the back of our vehicle with our arms hanging out. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand caravan we're doing a test fit of the Swagman Trailhead Hanging Style 4-Bike Rack, that part number is S63380. Now, we already have our bike loaded up but first we're going to show you how you secure that in place and then we'll go over some of the features of the rack itself. So we have 2 cradles in place with 4 straps altogether, 3 on our frame here and then 1 is our anti-sway strap in the back. To release those, we're just going to pull down and lift up and we can pull our bike off of our rack and set it off to the side. One thing I always suggest that you do whenever you remove your bike or bikes, is to replace your straps so you don't lose or damage any of them, just a good habit to get into. You also don't want then flying around and distracting you while you're driving as well. Now take a few measurements here. Our first one's going to be our overall that we've added to the back of our vehicle with our arms hanging out. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan we're doing a test fit of the Hollywood Racks Roadrunner hanging style 4-bike rack. That part number is HR400. We already have our bike secured down. I'm first going to show you how we do that and then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. The first thing we want to go over is our brace here. This is going to be more of an anti-sway purpose. The rack itself comes with 4 different straps that you can use that will go through the brace and around your tires so you can use that for each of your bikes. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're doing a test fit of the Yakima Full-Tilt Hanging-Style 4 Bike Rack. That part number is Y02462. Now, we already have our bike in place. We're first going to show you how we secure that down and then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. So we have two cradles holding our bike with three zip strips in place, two on our top here and one is our anti-sway in the back there. To remove those, we're going to pinch the two grey pieces on either side and lift straight up. We'll set those off to the side. Make sure to keep track of those, 'cause we will put them back once we remove our bike. more

Today on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan we're doing a test fit of the Curt Premium Hanging-Style 4 bike rack. That part number is C18064. Now we already have our bike secured down, first going to show you how we do that then we'll go over some features of the rack itself. Here we have 2 cradles in place and 3 straps, 2 on our frame and 1 as our anti-sway strap in the back there. We'll pull down and lift up to release our straps. We'll be able to remove our bike. With our bike off to the side I always suggest that you replace your straps so you don't lose or damage any of them. Now we'll take a few measurements here. more
