Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to be doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Pro 4-Bike platform style bike rack, Part Number TH9034-9036. You can see I've already got the bike rack installed into the receiver hitch on our Dodge Grand Caravan. You'll notice it's a sizable rack, so you're going to cradle all four of your bikes heading down the road. It would be really good as a family rack, or for your group of riding buddies. It does keep our bike in place in three positions. Here at the rear we have a wheel cradle with a ratcheting strap keeping our tire in place. Here at the front we have a cradle holding on to our wheel down here. more

Today, on this 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be testing the Thule Vertex 4 bike rack. Part number TH9029XT. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's go ahead and take a closer look and show off some of the features. How the bike is actually attached to the rack, we are going to have 3 points of contact with the bike's frame. Today on our 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan, we'll be doing a test fit of the Thule Roadway 2-Bike Rack. That's for inch-and-a-quarter or two-inch hitches. It has a tilting feature. Part number on it is TH912XTR. Got the Roadway already installed in our receiver tube, and we've already got the bike in place. As you can see, it's going to secure our bike with three points of contact. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today on our 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan we'll be doing a test of the Swagman XC-2 bike platform style rack. That's for inch and a quarter or two inch trailer hitches. Part number on it is S64650. As you can see we've already got the XC-2 installed on our caravan and secure in our receiver tUBE. The XC-2 secures our bike by it's top tube by putting pressure on the bike's frame and ultimately on the tires so they sit firmly in our two adjustable wheel cradles. I'm going to go ahead and remove the bike so that I can go over some measurements and show you how the bike rack interacts with your vehicle. To remove the bike there is just these latches right here that are going to allow our frame hooks to raise up. more

Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today, on our 2010 Dodge Caravan, were going to do a test fit of the Thule Vertex 4, part number TH9029.With our bike rack already pre-assembled and our 2x2 bushing added to the bike shank, we can go ahead and fit it directly into the 2-inch receiver tube on our vehicle. Then well install and tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. Alright, with our anti-rattle bolt tighten down, this is what our bike rack will look like in the stored position.Now well go ahead and take some measurements. From the closest point of our bike rack to the bumper is 2 inches. From the very back of the bike rack as lowest point to the ground gives us 11 inches of ground clearance. Next, lets go ahead and check, and see if we have rear cargo access if we tilt the bike rack away from the vehicle. more

Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today our 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan were going to do a test fit of the Thule Apex 4, product number TH9025. With our bike rack already preassembled and our 2-inch x 2-inch bushing installed on the bike rack shank, we can go ahead and slide directly into the 2-inch receiver on our vehicle. As we go ahead and set-up our bike rack to be installed, well make sure the integrated locking pin is out so that it will go over the receiver tube opening, and then well tighten down the integrated anti-sway control knob. With our bike rack secured to the vehicle, this is what it will look like in its stored position.Next, well go ahead and take a couple of measurements. First, from the closest point of the rack to the bumper is 3-1/2 inches. From the very end of the bike rack shank to the ground is 11-1/2 inches of ground clearance. more

Thule Doubletrack Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan- Video
Today in this 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan we're going to do a test fit of product number TH990XT from Thule the Thule Doubletrack Bike Rack. A couple of quick notes about this rack is that it will work on 1-1/4 inch hitches class 1 and class 2. It will also work on a class 3 receiver with the included bushing and we'll be using that today. We'll start off by installing the bike rack into the hitch tightening down the anti-rattle bolt and installing a lock on the other side. The bike rack does come with a tool to tighten it down. However, a 3/4-inch wrench works just as well. more
