Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Ford Transit T250- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 Ford Transit T250 van and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt Four-pole Trailer Wiring Harness. Adding a four-pole trailer wiring harness to your van is gonna allow you to pull trailers with four poles on them. This wiring's gonna give you your stop and turn signals, your running lights, and then the last, the fourth pole is going to be your ground signal. If you need to pull trailers with seven poles on 'em, then you can pick up the ETBC7 kit. You'll still have to install this kit because the fourth pole will plug right into the ETBC7 and then you'll just have to run the last three wires, which would complete your seven pole in addition to your four pole. more

Today on our 2019 Ford Transit 250 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install a Tekonsha OEM replacement vehicle wiring harness with a seven way as well as the brake controller adapter.Since Transit vans are really capable vehicles, many of our customers use them to do a little bit of everything, so whether it's work or play, you're going to have the capability to tow a trailer and transfer the lighting functions from the back of the van to the back of the trailer. That way other motorists know your intentions as you're going down the road.Now the best thing about this is not only is it going to give you a seven way plug with all of your functions, but it's also going to give you the ability to use a brake controller and that's something you don't find too much all in one kit. Usually if that's something you wanted to do, you'd have to get multiple kits and kind of piece them all together. But this one, it's all here in one kit and it's really easy to use and figure out.Now since this kit provides us only with the seven way, one thing some of our customers ask about is if they're still going to have the ability to have a four way flat trailer connector as well as the seven way. Today on our 2018 Ford Transit T250 we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. This is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. It's going to give us all the proper lighting functions to safely tow our trailer. It's going to give us both turn signals, our running lights, and our brake lights. It's going to have an added dust cap to help keep any dirt and debris from getting in our connections. And when not in use, it can double as a holder to help our wiring from dragging. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Ford Transit T250- Video
Speaker 1: Today, in our 2015 Ford Transit T250, we're going to be installing Curt's T-connector vehicle wiring harness, part number C56327. This four pole flat trailer connector is going to provide you with all the necessary lighting that you'll need for your trailer. This includes your left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps, so you'll be DOT compliant in all states.This harness is typically going to live inside of your vehicle. When you're ready to use it, simply pull it out of its storage location, drape it over the back, and it'll pinch in place between your weather stripping. That'll hold it in place so you can hook it up to your trailer, and on the end here, it does include a dust cap so when you're not using it and it's outside, you can simply put that on and that'll help keep out any dirt, debris and moisture, insuring a long-lasting connection.Additionally, you can use your dust cap to secure it to your hitch through one of the safety chain loops, and this will help keep it from dangling down and flopping around when driving down the road, and when you're done using it, you can simply wrap it up and store it inside of your compartment or anywhere else you want out of the way. Additionally, that dust cap, what I like about it is that you can use it to wrap around your wiring, and that'll help keep everything nice and bundled. more

Each one of our kits is gonna use a power taillight converter to convert the signal from our taillights to have the proper signal going out to our trailer, and as well protect our vehicle if anything may happen on the trailer end and prevent any feedback.As you can see here on our Curt and our Tekonsha, we're gonna have some wires coming out of our converter boxes. But if you notice, on the Tekonsha here, it's gonna have this epoxy-type material. That epoxy material's actually going to fill the entire box and keep all the circuitry secure and it's gonna be a little bit more resistant to any kind of rattling and any kind of damage that may be caused when it's mounted.Now these are powered converter boxes. more

Installation of the Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2016 Ford Transit T250- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford Transit T250, we're going to take a look at also show you how to install the Curt custom fit vehicle wiring harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number is C56249. To begin our installation, we're going to get to the taillight housings removed here. We've got two torque bit screws. They're going to take a T-25 on the top and bottom we want to remove. We'll pull rearward on the housings, there's a couple pressure clips up here on the front edge. If we rotate that, you'll see right here we're going to have our connector. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Ford Transit T250- Video
Today on our 2015 Ford Transit T250, we're going to be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. Part number is 118643. We've got your wiring harness laid out the way it's going to go in the vehicle. The yellow and brown wire comes over and it's going to be connected behind the driver's side taillight. The green wire comes over, it's going to be connected behind the passenger's side taillight. This is, of course, what the main goal is, is to get our 4-pole flat wire to the back of the vehicle so we can hook up our trailer. more
