Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 Dodge Journey

Today on our 2011 Dodge Journey, we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number 118536. To begin our install we'll first go ahead and open up the rear cargo hatch. Then we'll remove the two fasteners that secure the taillight housing on the driver's side. These are pushpin fasteners so we'll use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the center out and then remove the entire fastener. Next we'll go ahead and gently pull backwards on the taillight assembly unlocking the two fasteners underneath, be careful as you remove the taillight assembly that you don't break the alignment tabs underneath. We'll go ahead and repeat this same process for the opposite side. Next we can take the new tow ready harness and take our yellow wire connector and red wire connector and plug them in line with the manufacturer's wiring to the taillight assembly starting with the yellow wire connector or gray connector on the manufacturer's side. more
