Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster base plate on a 2019 Ford Flex. Now, there's five main components required for flat towing a vehicle. And the first one's gonna be on the vehicle side, and that's gonna be your base plate. And that's gonna create a solid attachment point to the frame and the vehicle that allows you to hook up to your tow bar. more

Blue Ox Base Plate Installation - 2010 Ford Flex- Video
Today on our 2010 Ford Flex, we'll be installing a Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms, part number BX2621. To begin with, we'll go ahead and raise the hood up. Front of the hood, we need to remove two 10-millimeter bolts, as well as four push pin fasteners that help hold the grille in place. Now, with that done, we need to go into each of the wheel wells on the front. There will be three 5-millimeter screws that need to be removed from each of the inner fender wells. Now under the vehicle, we'll again be using the 5 -millimeter socket, and this time, we need to remove seven bolts from the bottom edge of the fascia. more
