And that's exactly what this is. And in my opinion, too, it's not going to look half bad, even though it is for the most part, completely visible. I will say one thing I did notice is that the hitch is going to give us some pretty good clearance. And what I mean by that is the end of the receiver tube opening, it's going to sit just behind our bumper. more

Today you're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite Class 1 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2019 Kia Soul.Now, here is what our hitch is going to look like. You can see that it's going to have a really clean appearance to it, almost a factory look, and that's because most of the cross tube is going to be hidden behind the bumper, and all we're really going to see is this receiver tube sticking out.Now, since it's a Class 1 hitch it is going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, which is going to be great if we need to free up some space inside of our Soul, so we can put a cargo carrier on there, or if we need to transport some bikes we can put a bike rack in there and take our bikes to the trail.But, however we're going to use our hitch all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. It's going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. Now, these are not included with the hitch, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com along with some locking devices to make sure accessories are secure.But if you do plan on doing some light inaudible 00:00:58 towing you're obviously going to have, to have a spot to hook up your safety chains. Our connection point is going to be a loop style welded to the bottom of the receiver tube, and you can see we have plenty of room to get most size hooks on or off.However you're going to use your hitch you want to make sure it's up to the task, so the weight ratings, our hitch is going to have a 200 pound tongue weight, which is the maximum downward force of the receiver tube. more

It's going to take a standard five eighths inch hitch pin. Now the pin does not come with your kit, however, you can find one on our website using part number PC3.This smaller hole here, this is going to be for a J pin stabilization device. What that does, is that's going to take any shake and play or rattle out of your hitch mode accessories. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to be visible, and it's going to be sitting right below our bumper. It is a Class III hitch, which means that it's going to give us that two-inch by two-inch receiver tube opening which is going to open up a lot of doors for all sorts of different kinds of accessories that we can mount up.Now, the way that we're going to mount any of our accessories into the hitch pin hole here on the side, and it is going to accept a standard 5/8 pin and clip, and while these aren't included in our kit, you can pick them up here at etrailer.com. As far as these safety chain connection points go, it's going to be a plate style welded in the bottom of the receiver tube and the cross tube, and as you can see, we're not going to have too much trouble getting most size hooks on or off, but we're going to have plenty of room to get that positioning right so we shouldn't have to worry about a locking device or a hitch pin getting in the way.Our hitch is going to have a 750-pound tongue weight, which is going to be the maximum downward force at the receiver tube here. It's also going to have a 5,000-pound gross trailer weight rating, which is going to be the amount it can pull including the trailer and everything we have loaded on it. more

Part number E98843.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One of the first things you will notice about this hitch is that there is plenty of clearance around the receiver which makes this a great hitch to use for bike racks and cargo carriers which is what many of our customers are buying a hitch for their Sorento for to use with a bike rack.Now, even though we have plenty of clearance around our receiver, and the hitch itself isn't concealed behind the fascia, it does sit up nice and tight against it and follows all the lines of the vehicle nicely to give us a nice clean look.What really sets this hitch apart from others on the market is the finish of it. It has a matte black carbide finish which is much more durable than your standard power coat coating of a gloss black or flat black. It's much more scratch resistant and also is much more corrosion resistant. So you'll have nice looking hitch on your vehicle for a very long time.On the side of our receiver, you'll find our industry standard, 5/8th of an inch diameter hitch pin hole that you can use a pin and clip to secure your hitch mounted accessories. more

Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. That cross tube is going to be visible right underneath the bumper, but it is going to be tucked in nicely, so it's really not going to distract from the looks of our Sorento. Our hitch is going to give us that 2" by 2" opening, 'cause it is a Class 111, which offers a wide variety of accessories that we can mount up.Now, the way that we're going to mount all of our accessories to through the forward hole here. It's going to accept the standard 5/8 pin and clip. Those aren't included in our kit, but you can pick them up here, on our website at etrailer.com, using part number PC3. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Kia Sorento - Draw-Tite- Video
Speaker 1: Today on this 2011 Kia Sorento we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 75684.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One thing that's nice about this hitch is that it follows the contours of our bumper nicely and goes underneath our exhaust so we don't have to worry about lowering the exhaust in order to get the hitch installed.On the side of our receiver you'll find our industry-standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. Closer to the rear of the receiver you'll find an additional hole for a j-pin stabilization device. What that will do is take away the annoying shake, play, and rattle of anything that is inserted into your receiver.On the bottom of our hitch you'll find our rolled steel safety chain loops. What's nice about these is even if you have a large diameter safety chain hook such as this one, it'll still clip on easily and can easily be removed. On the back of our receiver you'll find this collar that's welded on to help give us a nice finished look and also to help reinforce the strength of the opening of the receiver.This hitch features a 350 pound max tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down, and a 3,500 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount it can pull. more

This offers the 2" x 2" receiver tube opening, as part number: C13195. Now, here's what our hitch is gonna look like when you get it installed. You'll see the cross tube come run across to about this point, then a bracket is gonna tuck up and over the hitch, and then of course, it's gonna go over and match up to the frame. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Kia Optima - Curt- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Kia Optima we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt class one trailer hitch receiver, part number C11025. Here's what the hitch looks like installed. As you can see, our hitch here is tucked up nicely underneath our fascia, sits nice and tight up against it giving us the maximum amount of ground clearance that we possibly can have, and yet, still giving us plenty of clearance around our receiver opening here making this an ideal hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers.Welded onto the bottom of the receiver and the frame of our hitch is our safety chain lube plate. This plate style design has two openings, one in each side of the receiver which are fairly large openings which shouldn't be an issue to hook on most safety chain hooks.On the side of our receiver here is our industry standard, half inch diameter hitch pin hole to secure inaudible 00:00:55 mount and accessories. The hitch pin and clip is included with the hitch.Welded onto the back of our receiver is this reinforcement collar which helps give us a more refined appearance and also reinforces the shank of the receiver a little bit. This hitch features a 200 pound max gross tongue weight rating, which is the amount of weight forcing down any 2,000 pound max gross trail weight rating, which is the amount I can pull. more

Here's what our hitch looks like installed. As you can see, our hitch has plenty of clearance around our fascia here, making this an idea hitch to use with bike racks and cargo carriers. The main frame of the hitch is tucked up nice and tight up against our underside the vehicle, to help optimize ground clearance.On the side of our receiver here, we have our industry standard 1/2" diameter hitch pin hole, to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories. Welded onto the bottom of our receiver are these tubular steel safety chain loops, which have a nice, large opening, which will allow us to hook on the safety chains from our trailer at any angle. Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Kia Sorento- Video
Today on our 2017 Kia Sorento we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw Tite Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75908. Here's what our hitch looks like fully installed. It's going to sit right below our bumper, and the cross tube is going to be partially visible. Now, it is a class III hitch, so it's going to give us that 2 inch by 2 inch opening, and it has a nice reinforced collar giving it added strength and a nice look. Now, we're going to have two sets of holes on our receiver tube opening here. The hole closest to the front of the car, that's going to be for our hitch pin and clip, and that's going to be using a standard 5/8 pin and clip. Now, they're not included in our kit, but you can pick some up on our website using part number PC3. The secondary hole back here, that's going to be for the J pin stabilization device which is going to be great for any accessories that don't have a built in anti-rattle. The safety chains are going to be a plate style, and that's going to be welded into the bottom of the receiver and cross tube here, and as you can see we're not going to have any trouble getting most sized hooks on or off. more

Today on our 2017 Kia Soul, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class One Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, Part number C11419. So here's what our hitch looks like fully installed on our vehicle. Now the cross tube is mainly going to be hidden up behind the bumper, and we're mainly just going to see the receiver tube sticking out. Now it is a class one hitch, so it's going to give us an 1.25" by 1.25" receiver tube, and has a nice reinforced collar, giving it added strength and a nice clean finished look. Now the safety chain loops are going to be a rolled steel stock style, welded to the bottom of the receiver tube. And as you can see, we're not going to have any trouble getting most size hooks on or off, or worry about interfering with anything. Now our hitch is going to use a standard half inch pin and clip, which is included, so you're not going to have to worry about picking one of those up. Our hitch is going to feature a 200 pound tongue weight and a 2,000 pound gross trailer weight rating. Now I do want to mention, you always want to double check with your vehicle's owners manual to make sure that your car can handle that amount of weight. Now the manufacturer does recommend that you use a stabilization strap on any non-trailer loads, such as a bike-rack or cargo carrier, and you can pick one of those up on our website using part number 18050. I'm going to give you a few measurements that will help you when deciding for new accessories for your hitch, such as a bike-rack or even a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch-pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper, is 6.5". Now from the ground to the inside top edge of the receiver tube opening is just under 11". Now to get our hitch installed, we're only going to need a few tools. We'll need a 17mm wrench, a ratchet, and a 17mm socket, and finally our torque wrench to torque all our bolts down. Now that we've gone over a little bit of the features and what we need to get it installed, let's show you how we got it done. The first step of our installation is we're going to come to the back of our vehicle and we're going to come underneath so we can see the frame and we're going to be checking the connection points. Now we're going to have a weld nut on the bottom of our frame here at the end, one on each side, and then on the side of our frame, we're going to have another weld nut directly next to the one on the bottom. more
