Today on this 2009 Volkswagen Tiguan, we're going to install part number 90191, from Hidden Hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the Tiguan. Next, we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 15 1/2". From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 3 7/8". Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing we need to do is go ahead and get the vehicle ready. We need to locate an existing grooved area at the bottom of the fascia. We don't have to cut out all of it, just enough for a hitch. This is the cut-out for the hitch. more
