Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2011 Toyota Prius, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite sport frame trailer hitch receiver. So probably the very first thing I notice about this hitch is that it's going to look pretty good. It's going to be completely hidden for the most part. So you're really only going to be able to see the receiver tube opening. And after taking a closer look at it, I'll say one thing that this should work out real well with is those folding accessories. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Toyota Prius - Curt- Video
Today on our 2011 Toyota Prius, we'll be installing the Curt Hitch, part number C11276. This is what the hitch will look like once it's installed. Next we're going to give you a couple of measurements to assist you in selecting accessories for your new hitch. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper, it's 2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground, it's 11 inches. This will assist you in selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. Now we'll go ahead with the installation. Before we can install our hitch, we'll first need to remove multiple manufacturer fasteners to gain access to the attachment points for our new hitch. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Toyota Prius - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2011 Toyota Prius, we will be installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch part number 24847. This is what the hitch will look like installed. Ill give you some measurements to help you select accessories like bike racks or cargo carriers. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outer edge of the bumper is 2 inches. From the top of the receiver tube to the ground is 12-1/4 inches. Now well show you how to install it. The first step to installing our trailer hitch is to remove the factory tow hook. more
