etrailer Class III Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek- Video
Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the etrailer Class III two inch hitch receiver. Adding the two inch hitch receiver to the back of your Crosstrek is gonna give you a lot of different options for accessories. You're gonna be able to put two inch bike racks in there, cargo carriers, ball mounts if you wanna pull a small trailer. If you plan on pulling a trailer, I'd highly recommend installing your four-pole wiring while you're doing your hitch, just so that you only have to tear into your vehicle one time. This hitch is gonna have a triple carbide black powder coat finish, which we have seen to prove that it's a very, very tough paint job. more

Best 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitches available for the 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. We're going to start with our Draw-Tite Class 3, this is part number 76084. It's going to offer the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. We're going to follow that up with the Curt, also a Class 3 with the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening. It's part number C13135. Now the biggest difference between our two hitches that you're going to notice is that our Curt, you can see it's got the square cross tube on it. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek - Curt- Video
Today on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek. We're going to be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch, part number C13135. Now here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle, now we'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. The top of the opening in the receiver to the ground, we have about 14 inches. From the center of a hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper, we have about three and a half inches. Let's go ahead and point out our mounting locations on the car, there'll be a total of four mounting locations, two on each side. We'll begin over here on the driver side, and over here on the passenger side, it'll be located here and here. Next we're going to need to remove the rubber plug that is in each of the mounting locations. more

Today on our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek we're going to be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C11286. Now here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you chose some accessories for your hitch such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground we have just under 15 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper we have about 2-1/2 inches. Now let's go ahead and point out our mounting locations on the car. There will be a total of four mounting locations, two on each side. more
