Today we're going to be going over the best hitch options for the 2006 Pontiac Torrent. Off to the side here we have our top three choices. The top choice is going to be the Curt hitch, Class 3, part number 13591. Coming in second we have the Curt Class 2 hitch, part number C12291. Finally we have our Draw-Tite Class 3 max frame hitch, part number 76028. Some of the initial differences between these hitches, of course the most obvious one is we have an inch and 1/4 hitch here with two 2 inch hitches here. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2006 Pontiac Torrent - Hidden Hitch- Video
Today we are going to do an install on a 2006 Pontiac Torrent by Draw-Tite, part number 36408. Before you install your hitch it might be best to find all your mounting locations, just to get familiar with the underside of your car. There are six holes total: there are two on each side of the frame, one low and one high and those are notorious for being dirty, so before you start the install it would be best to run a bolt in and out. Maybe spray some lubricant on it to ream any debris out of the hole, so it will be a lot easier when you are raising up the hitch to get a bolt started. Next we have the center of the vehicle, and there are two holes. These are both threaded on this particular model, so you will need to fish wire the carriage bolts in place. And the drivers side is definitely going to be the harder side of the install, because there are two, just like the other side, but they are between the muffler and the outer fascia. more
