Today on this 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander, we are going to install part number 13581 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like when it is installed on the vehicle. Next we will give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground on this particular vehicle is going to be 13 inches, and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 2 inches. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander 75555- Video
Today, on this 07 Mitsubishi Outlander we are going to install part number 87444 from Hidden Hitch, this will also apply to part number 75555 from Draw-Tite. First, what I will do is go ahead and lower our muffler so we have access to the frame where the hitch will mount up. The three muffler hangers we are going to spray down with some lubricant that will help make removal just a little bit easier. Next, what we are going to do is put a strap around the exhaust to keep it from falling down too fast. We will start taking off the exhaust hangers. We are going to actually use a pry bar to remove the muffler hangers. Now we got our hangers loose we can go ahead and lower the exhaust and with this strap you can control its decent. more
