From the center of the hitch, pinhole to the outer most edge of the rear, mounted spare tire is 5-1/2 inches. From the top of the receiver, tube to the ground is 15 inches. Trailer Hitch Installation - 1999 Jeep Wrangler- Video
Today on this 1999 Jeep Wrangler we are going to install part number 13408 from Curt. The first thing we need to do is remove this bolt at the bottom of the frame, there will be one on each side of the vehicle. We are looking at the driver side right now. The next thing I want to show you is some of the hardware that comes with the hitch, you are going to get two hex bolts like this. One is going to be an SAE thread and the other one is going to be Metric. To determine which one you need, you get the old bolt that came out of the vehicle and match them up. If the threads mesh together then you have the right ones. So in this case we will be using the Metric bolt. 00:37 more
