Today, we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the etrailer, trailer hitch receiver, here on a 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe. So here's what our trailer hitch is going to look like installed now with the etrailer hitch something that they do that I really like it's going to be in regards to the finish. So our etrailer brand of pitches here, they use a matte finish and compared to some of the other glossier trailer hitch finish options such as those from Draw-Tite and Curt the matte does a little bit better job in my opinion of blending in with the vehicle. And it also does a little bit better job of helping hiding the nicks and scratches that a trailer hitch has on the underside of the vehicle. It's also going to obviously protect the hitch from rust and corrosion as well. So adding a trailer hitch to your Santa Fe is going to be an excellent option. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe - Curt- Video
Today on our 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the CURT Custom Fit Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number is C12113. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. From our attachment points we're going to have the small round tube that's going to come over here to our receiver tube opening. This is going to be an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter. Nice flush looking reinforcement cowler around the end , and you'll see this is going to be tucked in under our bumper slightly, so we're not going to have to worry about bumping into it or anything like that. Safety chain connection points are nice heavy duty steel. See a nice large hole there, it should allow you to connect just about any size chain that you might want. You'll see here a 1/2 inch diameter pinhole. more

From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 13". This will assist you with selecting accessories such as a ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground, we have about 13-1/4 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper, we have about 4-1/2 inches. Now, let's go ahead and install our hitch. We're going to begin by opening the rear hatch of the vehicle. Now, we'll go ahead and lift up the rear covering pieces here because we're going to need to gain access to this location right here. more

From the top of the opening to the receiver, to the ground, we have about 13-1/4". From the center of the Hitch Pin Hole, to the outermost edge of the bumper, we have about 4-1/2". Now Let's go ahead and install our hitch. We're going to begin by opening the rear hatch of the vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and lift up the rear covering pieces here, cause we're going to need to gain access to this location right here. We'll need to remove the cover by simply twisting it. Today, in this 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited, we're going to install part number C13153 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on the Santa Fe. Next, we'll use the measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 16". From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 4". Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing we need to do is go ahead and get underneath the vehicle. We'll go ahead and remove the panel that's at the bottom of the bumper and in the center. more
