Today you're going to be taking a look at the Etrailer Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver on our 2011 Honda Odyssey.Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to sit right below the bumper, but it does have that nice carbide flat black finish on it, so it is going to blend in a little bit better than most standard hitches with that high gloss finish.Now our hitch is a Class III, which means it's going to give us the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening. It's going to have the widest variety of options when it comes to the accessories that we can mount up.If we want to take a couple of bikes with us on a trip, we can put a bike rack in here. If we need to make room for passengers or pets on the inside, we can put our cargo carrier in here. Get some of that gear to the outside of our van, or maybe we need to tow a small trailer, and we could put a ball mount in there.Regardless of however we're going to be using it, all of our accessories are going to mount through the hitch pin hole here on the side. more

Best 2011 Honda Odyssey Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2011 through 2017 Honda Odyssey. Now up top here we're going to have our Draw-Tite. It's going to be a Class 3 hitch. Right below that we're going to have our EcoHitch, which is also a Class 3. Below that we'll have our etrailer Class 3 hitch. Then finally at the bottom, we're going to have our CURT Class 3 hitch.If I was looking for a hitch for my Odyssey, I would go with the Draw-Tite for a few different reasons, but let's take a closer look at why, and all the other features of our other hitches. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Honda Odyssey- Video
Today on this 2011 Honda Odyssey, were gonna install part number 87479 from Hidden Hitch. This also applies for part number 75270 from Draw-Tite.This is what the hitch looks when its installed on a van. Next, were go ahead and produce measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as the ball mount, the bicycle rack or cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 6 inches and from the top of the receiver down to the ground is going to be 12 inches. Alright, now were gonna show you how the hitch is installed.First thing you need to do is get underneath the vehicle and remove this panel right here. Theres gonna be four fasteners for the panel itself and therell be a fifth one that goes through the panel and the mudflap. more
