Today we're going to be taking a look the best hitch options available for the 2001 GMC Sierra 3500 chassis cab. We have our Curt part number C15800. In the middle we have our Draw-Tight, part number 41947. At the bottom here we have another Curt part number C15400. Now, while all of these are class fives, they all have ups and downs to each one of them. Let's go ahead and take a look at some of their differences. Today on our 2001 GMC Sierra Regular Cab two-wheel drive we'll be installing the Curt hitch, part number 13322. Here's what the hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, bicycle rack or cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 19 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 2 1/2 inches. Let's install our hitch. We will also be removing 2 factory bolts that help hold the rear bumper in place. There are 6 mounting locations that we'll be using to put the hitch onto the vehicle. more

Today on our 2001 GMC Sierra regular cab 2-wheel drive well be installing the Hidden Hitch, part number 87186. Heres what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now well go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 18 inches. And from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 2 inches, and in this case the edge of the opening on the receiver is pretty well flush with the edge of the bumper. Now lets go ahead and install our hitch. more
