Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 GMC Acadia - Draw-Tite

Speaker 1: Today in our 2007 GMC Acadia, we'll be having a look at and installing the draw tight max frame class three trailer hitch receiver. Part number 75528. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now as you can see our hitch it tucks up nicely behind our rear fascia here and sits nicely in the pocket here where the door is that would cover the factory hitch if the vehicle was so equipped. Now you'll notice this hitch has a nice rounded collar welded onto the receiver end here giving us a nice finished look and helping to increase the strength of the hinge itself. Welded onto the bottom of the receiver opening we have our tubular rolled steel safety chain loops here. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 GMC Acadia - Curt

Speaker 1: Today on our 2007 GMC Acadia, we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 13424.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. You'll notice it fits in nicely in the pocket where our factory door was that would cover up the factory hitch. It's tucked up nice behind our fascia as well, so when loading cargo into our hatch we don't have to worry about running our shin into the back of the receiver. Now, at the end of our receiver we have this nice collar that's welded on to give us a nice finished look and to give ourselves a little bit more durability inside the receiver.Welded onto the bottom of the frame of the hitch and the receiver opening is our safety chain plate here. It's an angular plate design. The opening in our safety chain plate is fairly large, so we shouldn't have much of a problem with any hooking our safety chain hooks onto them. more
