Today, I have a 2012 Ford Taurus and I want to walk you through how to install the Curt Class 3 trailer hitch receiver.When we're looking for a hitch for our vehicle, we need to determine what we're going to be using it for. If we are wanting to just put on a bike rack or maybe a cargo carrier, then the Class 2 hitch is going to work great. Keep in mind with the Class 2 hitch, it is 1 inch 1/4 by 1 inch and a 1/4 receiver tube opening. You could be limited on what accessories will fit in there and limited to weight capacity. more

Today on this 2012 Ford Taurus, we're going to install part number 13552 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on the car. Next, we'll give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories. From the top of the receiver opening down the ground will be 12-1/2 inches and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be 6 inches. Now, we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. The first thing we're going to do is go ahead and put a piece of strap to help support the exhaust when we lower it. more

Today on our 2012 Ford Taurus were gonna install part no. 90075 from Hidden Hitch. This is what the hitch looks like when it is installed on car. Next we'll go ahead and give some measurements that help you out when selecting some accessories such as cargo carrier or a bicycle carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper is going to be 4 inches and from the top of receiver opening down to the ground will be 10 3/4 inches.
