Trailer Hitch Installation - 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac - Curt- Video
Today on our 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, we'll be taking a look at and installing the Curt Class 3 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver. Part number 13407. Now, here's what our hitch will look like once it's installed. It's going to have a nice sleek appearance under the backside of the vehicle. Showing only the round tube, the chain tie downs, and the 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube. It's going to have that nice aesthetically pleasing end cap over the end of the receive tube. It's going to have a 5/8 inch pinhole all the way through, and those sturdy chain tie downs on either side. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac - Hidden Hitch- Video
Today, we're working on a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac and we'll show you how to install hidden hitch part number 87008. To begin our install, we'll first need to locate the manufacturer's wiring that runs underneath the frame on the driver's side. This wiring will need to be relocated as it would get smashed down between the hitch in the frame. To relocate it, we'll go ahead and remove it from the frame and then press on the locking tab that secures it to the protective cap here in the side of the frame. We'll press on the locking tab and remove the connector. We'll do this for both connectors. With the wires loose, we'll go ahead and reroute them outside of the frame and over and back to the inside where we can re-secure it. Once we have both wires reconnected, we'll go ahead and secure them with a zip tie and cut off the excess to clean up our install. Next, we are ready to install the hardware into the bottom frame rail attachment point. more

Today on our 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, we'll be installing Draw-Tite Hitch part number 75112. Now, to begin our install, we'll first need to locate the manufacturer's wiring that runs underneath the frame of the driver's side. This wiring will need to be relocated as it would get smashed down between the hitch and the frame. To relocate it, we will go ahead and remove it from the frame and then pressing the locking tab that secures it, it's a protective cap here in the side of the frame. We'll press on the locking tab to remove the connector. We'll do this for both connectors. more
