Today on our 2009 Ford Escape we're going to take a look at and show you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Custom Fit Class 3 trailer hitch receiver offering the 2" by 2" receiver tube opening opening. Its part number is 75751. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like installed on the Escape. See our crosstube meets at the middle at our receiver tube opening. Portion of this crosstube is going to be hidden where the brackets go up to the frame, but you will be seeing this center section on the rear of your vehicle. Now this is a Class 3 hitch so it has the 2" by 2" receiver tube opening. That's going to make it extremely versatile. more

Best 2009 Ford Escape Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch option for your 2009 Ford Escape. First, we've got the CURT class three receiver hitch, part number 13650. Then we've got the Draw-Tite class three receiver hitch, part number 75751. CURT also has class three hitch, part number C13651. If it's not on the rack, it's going to look exactly the same and give us the same feature. The only difference is, you're only able to use it on Escape's that come with the factory one-and-a-quarter inch hitch. The biggest difference that we're going to see between these two hitches is that the Draw-Tite is going to have higher weight capacities than the CURT. more

Today on this 2009 Ford Escape were going to install part number 87626 from Hidden Hitch. All right, this is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the vehicle. Next, well give you some measurements to help you out when selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 17 inches, and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 1 inches. All right, today on this 2009 Ford Escape, were going to install part number 13650 from Curt. This is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the vehicle. Next well give you some measurements thatll help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be 17 inches and from the center of the hitch pinhole to the edge of the bumper will be about 1 inches. Now Ill go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing were going to do is go ahead and show you how the hardware attaches to the vehicle and the hitch. From the inside of the frame the carriage bolt and the block we ran together through the frame and then through the hitch. more
