Trailer Hitch Installation - 2017 Ford C-Max - Curt- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford C-Max we're going to be installing Curt's class II 1-1/4 inch trailer hitch receiver, part number C12092.As you can see here, the cross tube is hidden behind the bumper so you're only going to be able to see the receiver tube here at the end. This is a class II 1-1/4 by 1-1/4 inch receiver. It's going to be great for cargo carriers, bike racks, and light towing. It uses a 1/2 inch hitch pin and clip. One doesn't come with the hitch but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com with part number F-4.It features hoop style safety chain loops. They're going to have a nice wide opening that's going to accommodate just about every style safety chain. more

Best 2017 Ford C-Max Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford C-Max, we'll be having a look at our best trailer hitch options. We have two options here today as far as hitches go. On the top we have a Draw-Tite, part number 24896. On the bottom here we have a CURT, part number C12092.The biggest difference that we found between our two hitches here today is when it comes to weight capacity. Our Draw-Tite hitch at the top is a Class 1 hitch with a 200 pound max tongue weight rating and a 2,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating. Our CURT hitch here on the bottom is a Class 2 hitch with a 350 pound max tongue weight rating and a 3,500 pound max gross trailer weight rating.Now the reason this weight capacity means something to you is that little bit of extra that the CURT offers mean that's more that you can carry on the back of your vehicle, whether it's an extra bike on your bike rack or an extra cooler full of beverages when you're going camping.The next biggest difference that we found between the hitches was when it comes to appearance. more
