Now, one of the things that separates this hitch from many of the others is its finish. It's going to have a matte black carbide finish, which is going to be very tough and stand up to the elements very good. And this is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. You are going to be able to see the cross tube and the receiver sticking down below your bumper. Best 2015 Dodge Journey Trailer Hitch Options- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Dodge Journey, we'll be having a look at our best trailer hitch options. We've got four different hitch options here today. All these are Class III 2x2 inch receiver hitches.Up top, we have the etrailer.com hitch, then we have our Curt hitch, we have a Draw-Tite hitch, and then we have another Draw-Tite hitch. First off, we'll give you a brief summary.As far as appearance goes, we found the Draw-Tite hitch, which is hidden behind the fascia to be the clear winner here because it is the most hidden and offers the most appealing look on our vehicle. As far as recreational use goes, we found the Draw-Tite hitch that's hidden behind the fascia to be the winner here because it does offer the most ground clearance and the hitch pin hole is the furthest away from the back bumper.As far as towing goes, we found the Draw-Tite hitch which is visible underneath the bumper to be the winner here because it does support the use of weight distribution and it does have the additional mounting bracket already included on it. It's one less thing we have to worry about purchasing. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Dodge Journey - Curt- Video
Today on our 2015 Dodge Journey we'll be installing the CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver, Class III, part number C13201. Now as you can see, this is what our hitch looks like once it's installed. A very minimal amount is hanging down below our bumper. What is hanging down, though, is a nice round tube frame. Then we have our 2" receiver here. We have a nice steel plate here that has a black powder-coated finish. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Dodge Journey - Curt C12134- Video
Today on our 2015 Dodge Journey, we'll be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Class II Engine 1 1/4 inch Receiver, part number C12134. So this is what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed on the back of our 2015 Dodge Journey. As you can see, there's very minimal hanging down. It's a very clean, sleek design. You have this nice round tubular frame here. So we have our standard 1 1/4 opening here on the receiver. We have this 1/2 inch diameter pinhole here for installing your pin or your locking device to secure your ball mount, bike rack, or cargo carrier. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Dodge Journey - Draw-Tite- Video
Today on our 2015 Dodge Journey, we'll be having a look at the Draw-tite Max-frame Class 3 2-inch Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75648. Here's what our hitch looks like once it's installed. You can see there is a very minimal amount that hangs down. What does hang down is a nice round tube. Then we have actually our 2-inch receiver here. It's a nice matte black powder coat finish, so it looks like a very factory appearance as well. more
