Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options available for the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Cab and Chassis. We have our CURT, part number C15800. In the middle we have our Draw-Tite, part number 41947. At the bottom here we have another CURT, part number C15400. Now while all of these are class 5s, they all have ups and downs to each one of them. Let's go ahead and take a look at some of their differences. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Chevrolet Silverado - Hidden Hitch- Video
Today on our 2003 Chevrolet Silverado we'll be installing the Hidden Hitch class three 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 87186. Here's what our hitch will look like once installed. Our crosstube is a nice round tube design. While it is visible underneath, it's a nice, stylish design and goes along well with our vehicle. One of the nice features about this hitch is a pre-installed wiring bracket hold down. Our hitch is capable of up to 600 pounds of tongue weight and 6,000 pounds of towing capability. more

Today on our 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 we'll be installing the Draw-Tite class three 2" receiver tube hitch, part number 75362. Here's what our hitch will look like once installed. Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Chevrolet Silverado - Curt C15323- Video
Today, on our 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be installing the CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C15323. Now, here's what our hitch looks like, installed on our vehicle. We'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground, is approximately 17 and 1/2 inches. The edge of the receiver tube and the rear bumper are pretty well even. Now, let's go ahead and install our hitch. We're going to begin over here on the passenger side. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Chevrolet Silverado - B and W- Video
Today, on our 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be installing the B&W Heavy Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver, Part Number BWHDRH25217. Now this hitch also does come with a lighting bracket that screws to this little tab right here, so it would line up like that. You'd use the two supplied screws to secure it to the hitch. Now for our installation today, we're not going to be installing the lighting bracket. Now here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. We'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 18 inches. Now the receiver tube sticks out approximately 3/4 of an inch past the rear bumper. more

Today on our 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be installing the DrawTite Ultra Frame trailer hitch receiver, part number 41932. Now, here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. I'll go ahead and give you a couple measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as: a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the opening of the receiver to the ground is approximately 17-1/2". Now the receiver tube extends approximately 1-1/2" past the bumper. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Now, we're going to start here on the passenger side. And I'm going to go ahead and point out the four mounting locations that we'll be using. This rear bolt will be removed and reused during the installation. more

All right. Today on this 2003, Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to install part number C15703 from Curt. All right, this is what the hitch will look like once it's installed on the truck. Next we'll give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories, such as a ball mount, a bike rack, or a cargo carrier. From the top of the receiver opening down to the ground will be about 17-1/4". From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper will be about 2-1/2". Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today on this 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 series we will be installing Curt hitch part number 13322. The first thing we want to do in preparation to installing our trailer hitch is removing the spare tire and getting it out of the way. With the spare tire removed we can go ahead and take a look at the drivers side frame rail. :18 more
