Hi there, Malibu owners. Today in your 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's Class Two 1 1/4-Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. And this is what your hitch is going to look like when it's installed. The cross tube is going to be visible, but it's tucked up pretty far underneath the vehicle, so it's going to be fairly unnoticeable. The receiver at the back is a 1 1/4 by 1 1/4-inch. So it's going to be great for all of your light towing and accessory needs. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2017 Chevy Malibu. So up top, we're going to have the Draw-Tite, and right below that, we're going to have the CURT. Now both of these are going to be Class 2 hitches, which means they're going to give us that 1.25"x1.25" receiver tube opening. Now these are going to be great for any kind of bike racks or cargo carriers, or some light-duty towing.Now, obviously, looking at them, we can tell that there's a big difference between our two hitches. The main difference is how they're going to mount. Our Draw-Tite hitch is going to be hidden behind the bumper, and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. more

So heres what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed on our Malibu.The cross tube is gonna be completely hidden behind the bumper here. And all we're gonna see is the receiver tube sticking out right below the bumper. It is a class 2 hitch, which means it's gonna give us that inch, and a quarter by inch, and a quarter receiver tube opening. And it's gonna be great for some light duty towing, or if you have a bike rack, or even a cargo carrier.The way we're gonna mount all of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. more

Best 2017 Chevrolet Malibu Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best trailer hitch options for your 2017 Chevrolet Malibu. Here we have the Draw-Tite, part number 36592. Underneath it here we have the CURT, part number C12152. Both of our hitches here are Class 2 hitches and they're both made out of a steel construction and have a nice powder-coat finish. One of the major differences is how these are going to mount up to our vehicle. As you can see, there's a major difference of just how the plates look and how it's going to bolt up. Now if you come to the center section as well, there's going to be a difference of where our crossbar is located on our hitch and where the receiver tube itself is located as well. more
