Best 2011 Chevrolet HHR Hitch Options- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2011 Chevrolet HHR. Up top we've got the Draw-Tite class one receiver hitch, part number 24756. On bottom we've got the CURT class one receiver hitch, part number C11447. The primary difference between the Draw-Tite and the CURT trailer hitches is that on the CURT it's just more aesthetically pleasing when it's mounted to the vehicle. Here we've got the CURT installed on our HHR. As you can see, the crosstube is pretty well hidden behind the fascia. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Chevrolet HHR - Curt- Video
Today, on our 2011 Chevrolet HHR, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C11447. Here's what the hitch looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it sets up nicely to the fascia on the underside here. Unless you're getting down low, you're really not going to be able to see that cross tube. You've got your 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube here, and you've got the connection point for the safety chains here, which is this steel plate that's welded to the bottom side with the holes cut in it. With how this hitch is set up, it really doesn't eliminate much of the ground clearance that you had here at the rear of the vehicle. When using hitch-mounted accessories, such as bike racks and cargo carriers, Curt does recommend the use of the stabilization strap. more

Today on this 2011 Chevrolet HHR were going to install part number 24756 from Draw Tite. And this is what the hitch looks like when its installed on the vehicle. Next well give you some measurements to help you out in selecting some accessories such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack, or a cargo carrier. From the center of the pin hitch hole to the outer most point of the bumper is going to be 6, and from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is going to be 10-1/2. Next well go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First thing we need to do is go ahead and lower the exhaust on the drivers side. more
