Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Express Van - Draw-Tite

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Express Van, we will be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Class V Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number DT45507.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. This Class V hitch features a 2-1/2" opening on our receiver. Welded onto the bottom of our receiver and the frame itself is this plate, which has our safety chain loop openings in it, and these are really large opening, so we shouldn't have any problem at all even hooking the largest diameter safety chains through these. On the side of our receiver, you'll see our 5/8" diameter hitch pinhole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. Now, because this is a 2-1/2" opening in our receiver, you may find that you'll need a reducer down to 2" to use a lot of hitch-mounted accessories, such as bike racks and cargo carriers. We have one available on our website separately. It is a Reese 2-1/2" to 2" adapter, part number 58102.Now, because this is a heavy duty hitch meant for heavy duty towing applications, we have this nice electrical bracket here that's welded on. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2015 Chevrolet Express van, we'll be having a look at, and installing, the Curt Class 5 Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C15320.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now, one thing I really like about this hitch that others on the market don't have is this matte powder coat finish throughout its entire construction. It gives the hitch a nice rough and tough look that makes it look very rugged and will last a very long time, and be very rust resistant. Another nice feature is that it's recessed behind our back bumper here so when we're loading cargo into our cargo area, we don't have to worry about running our shin into the hitch.Welded onto the bottom of the frame of the hitch and the 2" receiver opening here, is our safety chain plate. On this plate we have two very large openings to insert our safety chain hooks, or the chains, into, and we shouldn't have much problem at all hooking most safety chains onto these. At the end of our receiver, we have this nice collar here that's welded on. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Express Van, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 41521.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now, one nice thing about this hitch is that it's tucked up behind our back bumper here, so when we're loading cargo into our hatch area, we don't have to worry about running our shin into the hitch.Welded on to the bottom of the frame of our hitch and our receiver tube opening here is this plate to connect our safety chains onto. It's a fairly decent size opening, so we shouldn't have much problem, if any, hooking our safety chains into them. On the side of our receiver here, the larger diameter opening is our industry standard 5/8" diameter hitch pinhole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. This hole right here closest to the end of the receiver is a J-pin stabilization device, and what that does is take away some of the annoying shake, play, and rattle out of what is inserted in your receiver. We have those available separately on our website if you need one. Welded onto the end of our receiver here, we have this nice collar, which helps reinforce the receiver itself and helps give the hitch a more finished appearance. This hitch features a 600 pound max tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down, and a 6,000 pound max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount you can pull. more

Speaker 1: Today in our 2015 Chevrolet Express Van, we'll be having a look at and installing the Draw-Tite Max Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75189.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. One thing you'll notice about this hitch, and this is really nice, is that it's recessed behind our bumper here, so when we're loading cargo into the back of our van, we don't have to worry about running our shin against this hitch. On the side of our receiver, we'll find two pin holes. The larger one here closest to the front of the vehicle is our industry standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch mounted accessories.Closest to the rear of the receiver, we have a smaller pin hole here, and that's for use with a J-Pin stabilization device, which we have available separately on our website, and what those do is take away any shake, play, and rattle out of what's inserted in your receiver such as your bike racks or cargo carriers. Some bike racks and cargo carriers have anti-rattle devices built into them, but if yours does not, you can take advantage of that J-Pin stabilization device to take away that annoying shake, play, and rattle.Welded onto the bottom of our Class III 2" receiver, we have our safety chain plate here. This also goes to the frame of the hitch itself. There's fairly large opening on these plates, which makes it easy to hook most safety chains onto them. This hitch features a 500 pound max gross tongue weight rating, which is the amount forcing down, and a 5,000 max gross trailer weight rating, which is the amount you can pull. more
