Today, on this 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to install part number C12291 from Curt. This is the Curt Class 2 inch and 1-1/4 receiver hitch. All right. This is what the hitch looks like once installed on the Equinox. Next, we'll go ahead and give you some measurements that will help you out selecting some accessories such as the bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of a hitch pin hole to the edge of the bumper comes out about 4-1/4 inches. At the top of the receiver opening down to the ground is about 14 inches. Now, we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First step to install our hitch, let's go ahead and remove its cover at the bottom of the bumper here. more

Today in this 2006 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to install part number 90145 from the Hidden Hitch, the class 2 inch and a quarter receiver hitch. All right this is what the hitch looks like once installed on the Equinox. Next we'll go ahead and give you some measurements that will help you out in selecting some accessories such as a bicycle rack or cargo carrier. From the center of our hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper comes out at 5 1/2 inches and from the top of the receiver opening down to the ground comes out to about 14 1/4 inches. Now we'll go ahead and show you how the hitch is installed. First up to install our hitch is to go ahead and remove this cover at the bottom of the bumper here. This small plastic ribbit if you pull out the center using a flat tip screwdriver, you can go ahead and remove it. more

From the top of receiver opening down to the ground comes out to about fourteen-and-a-quarter inches. Before we get started with the hitch installation we are going to show you a couple of final installed dimensions that are going to help make choosing your hitch accessories a little bit easier. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is going to measure 13 inches. From the center of the pin hole to clear the rear edge of the bumper is going to be approximately 6 inches.
