Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Cruze - Draw-Tite

Today on this 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, we're going to review and install the Draw Tite Sport Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 24882. All right, this is what the hitch looks like when it's installed on our Chevy Cruze. You'll notice that you'll only see the receiver opening and the safety chain loops and that's it. The rest of the hitch is hidden behind the bumper. Now, this uses a half inch diameter hitch pin hold or your favorite locking hitch pin. On the bottom here, we have a traditional safety chain loop, which will work great with a wide variety of safety chains. This case, pretty much, if you're going to use on a small trailer, you'll probably have a hook just like this. more

Today we're going to be reviewing and installing the Curt Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver, which is a 1-1/4-inch tube receiver, part number C11425, on our 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. This is what the hitch looks like once it's installed on our vehicle. You can see it's got a 1-1/4-inch receiver tube opening. It's got this nice reinforcement collar here. We've got the 1/2-inch hitch pinhole, the safety chain loops, and then back here nice and tucked away, we've got the crossframe for the hitch, and it bolts up to the factory holes that are in the frame. Now, it also has this nice powder coat finish. With this, it has a 200-pound tongue weight rating and a 2,000 gross trailer weight rating. When you're using non-trailer loads, such as bike racks or cargo carriers, Curt recommends that you use a support strap, part number 18050, which you can find on our site. more

On this 2015 Chevrolet Cruze, we're going to review and install a Curt Class One, Inch and a Quarter Receiver Hitch: Part Number C11282. This is what the hitch looks like when it's installed in a Cruze. Take a first look at it, and you can see that we really can't see much of a hitch at all. We'll go underneath the vehicle a little bit more to go ahead and see the details. This is our inch and a quarter opening, right here. It has a nice reinforcement collar. We have a safety chain tow loop on the bottom here, which will work with a variety of safety chain hooks. Our hitch uses a half-inch hitch pin, which does come with the hitch pin and clip. The crossbar of the hitch is above a receiver right here. more
