Curt Echo Mobile Trailer Brake Controller Installation - 2015 Ford F-150- Video
Rob: Hey everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going be taking a look at the Curt Echo wireless brake controller on our 2015 Ford F150.Now, the really nice thing about the Echo is that it is a wireless brake controller. So that means we're not going to have to put any holes in our dash, find somewhere to mount our brake controller inside, like the typical traditional style controller. This is just going to plug directly into our fully functioning 7-way, and it'll provide all the braking force we need.We'll go ahead and plug ours into our 7-way. You'll notice right by the door latch here, we're going to have a blue light. That's just letting us know that our Echo is getting power, but you can see that it's not solid. more

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best brake controllers available for the 2015 Ford F-150. Now all the brake controllers that we're going to look at today are proportional controllers. It's a newer technology available and it really is just a lot better than what the time-delayed systems used to be.Basically with the time-delayed system, it was preprogrammed when your brakes would engage. You hit the brake in your vehicle, there might be a pause before the brakes on your trailer actually engage.With the proportional controller, we don't have to worry about that. If we hit our brakes on our truck, our brakes are going to start being applied, and they're going to be applied in proportion to how we're braking in our truck. When we hit the brakes hard, they're going to apply the brakes more heavily. more
