Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider Installation - 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty- Video

Today on our 2019 Ford F350 Super Duty, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with slider assembly, and this is gonna work with that Ford factory prep package. A lot of newer trucks nowadays are coming with shorter and shorter bed lengths and that can cause some issues with your stationary style 5th wheels and that's due to clearance. So with that shorter bed, the front of your 5th wheel trailer is gonna be closer to the cab of the truck. So in particular, for example, whenever you go to turn, since we're a little bit closer, you can have some issues with your trailer actually contacting the bed of your truck or the cab and damage it. So to alleviate that problem, we're actually going to be able to slide the 5th wheel closer to the back of the truck and provide us with that clearance we need. more

Well, say, compared to the other manufacturers, the machining and fit of theirs just seems to slide together way better than the others. The only thing that I found here with B&W on occasion is they go a little thick on the powder coating, which can sometimes make it a little difficult to install. more

Adding a hitch like this to the bed of your vehicle is going to allow you to easily connect and disconnect to your 5th-wheel trailers. This hitch is going to have a 25,000-pound gross trailer weight, and a 6,250-pound vertical load limit, which is straight up and down.It's going to give us two points of articulation, front to back and side to side. Today in our 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty you're going to be taking a look at, I'm sure you have it installed, the Reese Elite Series Under Bed Rail Adapter for standard fifth wheel trailer hitches, part number RP-30156.This is where our above bedrail kit looks like when it's installed. What is one of the reasons why we would need one of these Let's say we have an older truck. In our old truck we had an above bed rail kit and we had a fifth wheel hitch. However, we went out and bought a new truck and our new truck is equipped with an under bed kit.
