Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best wiring options for your 2016 Volvo XC90. Over here we're going to have the Tekonsha four-pole wiring. Then right next to that we're going to have the CURT four-pole wiring. The first thing you'll notice about our wiring, the biggest difference, is going to be our converter boxes. The CURT is a little bit wider but it is a little bit thinner. Now one thing that the CURT doesn't do, if we look at the end of our converter box, just pull on the wire a little bit, you can almost just see directly in there. Now while these are soldered in the converter box, there's no kind of insulation protecting all the circuits inside. If we move over to the Tekonsha, we'll notice that the end of the converter box looks like it has that epoxy material on it surrounding all of the wires. more

T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Volvo XC90

Speaker 1: Today on our 2016 Volvo XC90 we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Pole Flat Trailer connector, part number 118683. Here's what our four pole wiring looks like once it's fully installed. It is going to stay on the inside of the vehicle until we're ready to use it, and then we can drop it down and we'll be ready to hook up.Now, it is going to give us a four pole flat trailer connector, which is going to give us all the required lights to get down the road safely, such as our brake lights, turn signals, and taillights. When we're not using it we can store it where our spare tire is, and it'll be out of the way and ready for us whenever we're ready to tow. Now that we've seen what it looks like once it's installed, let's show you how we got it installed. To begin our installation we're going to need to open up our rear hatch, and we're going to need to remove the floor covering. Now, we can just lay it out of the way back here, and we're also going to need to pull up the spare tire cover as well. more
