Best 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Trailer Hitch Options

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the best trailer hitch options for your 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Up top here we're going to have the etrailer hitch, which is going to be a Class 4. Then right below that we're also going to have a CURT Class 4. Then down at the bottom we're going to have a Draw-Tite that's going to be a Class 3 hitch. Now if I was looking for a hitch for my Silverado, I would definitely go with the etrailer hitch purely because I like the finish on it and it is going to have that higher weight capacity. But let's take a closer look at some of the differences between all of them.Right off the bat, just looking at our hitches you can already see that our Draw-Tite is going to have a completely different design than our CURT or our etrailer hitches. Is going to have that round crosstube opposed to the square, and it is going to have a different attachment point. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Curt

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to review and install the Curt Class IV 2" receiver tube hitch, part number C14006. Here's what the hitch is going to look like once it's installed. The hitch itself is a really nice, sturdy crosstube design, into a fully welded construction with a black powder-coated finish so it blends in with the underbody of the vehicle. Majority of the crosstube is even hidden behind the rear bumper. The only thing really exposed is our Class IV 2"x2" receiver tube, the two chain holddowns on either side of the receiver tube and the pre-drilled 5/8 pinhole that goes all the way through. This hitch is capable of up to 1,000 pounds of ton weight and a 10,000 pound tow capacity. more
