Now when searching for hitches for your vehicle, these are going to be the two top choices you're going to find. Here we have our CURT Class 1, part number C11408. Then we have our Draw-Tite Class 1, part number 24888. Both of these hitches have their advantages, but let's go ahead and go over some of their differences. Now while these do both have plates for added durability, the Draw-Tites are actually going to be separate from the safety chain loops, which makes it a little bit easier to attach them to be able to get in from any angle, while you notice with the CURT, they're a little bit thicker, so that might be a little bit of a problem. Today on our 2013 Subaru Impreza Hatchback, were going to be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch receiver, part number C11286.Now, heres what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now, well go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier.From the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground, we have 10 inches. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper, we have 2 inches.Now, lets go ahead and install our hitch. Now, were going to begin over here on the driver side. Were going to need to remove two rubber plugs to open up our mounting locations. One is right here, and the other one is right here. more
