Hopkins 4-Pole Flat Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Installation - 2013 Honda Odyssey

Hi there, Honda owners. Today on your 2013 Honda Odyssey we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Hopkins 4 Pole Flat Trailer Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness. It is designed to stay inside the vehicle when not in use, just down here in your compartment area. But when you are ready to use it, it will drape down over the back here, just make sure that you're avoiding the striker here at the middle, and when you shut your liftgate, it'll pinch it between the leather stripping, which won't cause any damage to it 'cause it'll hold it in place and allow you to be able to plug in your wiring. This is kind of the best case scenarios, keeping it inside the vehicle because it'll protect it from rust and corrosion when not in use. A lot of harnesses are routed to the outside and when they hang down here onto the bottom, even though they have a dust cap or something to protect 'em from rust and corrosion, it does still occur. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harnes Installation - 2013 Honda Odyssey

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2013 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be installing CURT's vehicle-wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56378. Speaker 2: This four-pole wiring is going to provide your trailer with all the necessary lighting. This includes your left-turn signal, right-turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps, so you'll be DOT compliant in all states. The control box receives its own power from the vehicle and has a fuse-protected circuit. This way, it doesn't draw directly from your vehicle's tail lamp circuits. So, in case your trailer has a fault on its circuits, it's not going to affect your vehicle's circuits. It has an included dust cap to help keep out any dirt and debris. When you're using your harness, it just drapes out over the rear bumper, and it gets squished between the weather stripping. This isn't going to cause any damage to the wiring, as there is some play room there. And when you're done using it, you can just fold it up and store it inside your vehicle. more
