Hey everybody, Ryan here at Etrailer. Today we're gonna be checking out our best towing mirror options for your 2014 Honda CRV. When it comes to the CRVs, you know people use them to do a little bit of everything and that does include towing and so chances are pretty good if you're watching this now, you've probably tried to pull a trailer. And issue is with these CRV factory mirrors, they're just not very big and so you lose a lot of visibility and so by adding a towing mirror, what that's gonna do is really, you know, help you see what's going on, you're gonna be able to see a lot more, which in turn will give you some extra confidence whenever you're pulling a trailer down the road, you know With that said, you kinda start looking at towing mirrors and there is just a ton of them available. So what we're gonna do today is just kind of break it down into the most common types and really just help simplify things and hopefully that'll get you going in the right direction and help you pick out one that's gonna be best for your Honda. So we're gonna be checking out six mirrors today and all these are kinda a little bit different of a style, if you will, so these three that I'm gonna mention first, these have just kind of your standard rubber straps with clips on them. more

CIPA Strap On Universal Fit Towing Mirror Installation - 2014 Honda CR-V

Hey everybody, I am here at etrailer today on our 2014 Honda CRV, we're going to be checking out the SEPA universal fit towing mirror, which is also sold as a set. Whenever we use a towing mirror, it's really going to help expand our field of view. So we're going to be able to see a lot more and to give you an example of that, as you can see, I'm visible in our towing mirror, but not in our factory mirror. And so that's really going to be handy whenever we're, you know, making a lane change or backing up into a tight parking spot. But that said, if I take a few steps over, closer to our trailer, I will disappear out of the towing mirror and become visible on our factory mirror, and that's really going to help eliminate any of those blind spots as well. I do want to bring up one of the big questions that we get asked all the time in regards to these aftermarket towing mirrors. more

K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2014 Honda CR-V

Today on our 2014 Honda CRV we'll be taking a look at the K-Source Universal Towing Mirror, part number KS3891. Now we've gone ahead and backed up to our trailer and we have our towing mirror installed. In our factory mirror we can see clearly to the back of our trailer. We're not going to have to worry about not being able to see back here, although if I step out to the side we're going to lose that visibility in our factory mirror but gain it in our towing mirror. This is going to be great whenever we're trying to pass vehicles on the highway or tying to park our trailer. The K-Source Universal Towing Mirror is going to secure with four tabs at the front and two straps at the back. It's going to be adjustable to change our field of view to whatever we need. more

The mirror measures 7 1/2 inches long by 5 inches wide. We're here on the passenger side of my Honda CRV, and to begin our test fit we'll need to make sure that our bracket, or our arms, are opened up, that way our clips can easily clip onto our housing. That's what we want. more
