Saris Thelma 3 Bike Rack Review - 2012 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2012 Nissan Xterra, we'll be test fitting the Saris Thelma platform-style hitch-mounted 3-bike rack, part number SA4239B. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll need to take the anti-rattle bolt and thread it into the pin holes from the left-hand side. After tightening it with a wrench, the bike rack is secured, and we'll go over a few measurements. We have about 18" of ground clearance. The closest part of the bike rack to the closest part of the vehicle is about 4" away, and we've added about 14" to the overall length of our Xterra. We can now remove the gold pin at the base of the bike rack and tilt the platform down. more

Softride Hang5 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2012 Nissan Xterra, we'll be test fitting the Soft Ride Hang 5 hitch mounted 5 bike rack for 2 inch hitches part number SR26496. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the rack into the opening of the hitch. After lining up the pin holes, we'll thread our anti rattle bolt into the pin holes and then tighten it down using a wrench. Now we'll go ahead and slide the arms into the mast. We are going to be installing it this way as the bike rack weights up to about 110 pounds when fully assembled. Separating the 2 pieces will allow us an easier installation. more

Softride Dura Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2012 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today on our 2012 Nissan Xterra, we'll be test fitting the Softride Dura Parallelogram tilting 4 Bike Rack, part number SR26247. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up the pin hole and thread in our anti-rattle bolt, tightening with a wrench. Then, we can install our lock. Now, we'll go over a few clearance measurements. We have about 16 inches of ground clearance. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of our vehicle is right here at the top and is about 7 inches away. We've added about 36 inches to the overall length of our Xterra. We'll undo the cradle straps to expose our cradles, grab our bike, place it onto the frame cradles, and secure it by tightening each strap. more

Hollywood Racks Traveler Tow n Go Bike Rack Review - 2012 Nissan Xterra- Video
Today, on our 2012 Nissan Xterra, we'll be test fitting the Hollywood Racks Traveler Tow 'n Go 3-Bike Carrier for 2-inch ball mounts, part number HR135. We'll be using the Hidden Hitch Ball Mount with a 3/4 inch rise or 2-inch drop, part number 80232, which is not included. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the ball mount into the receiver tube of the hitch, line up the pin hole, and install our pin and clip. Now, we'll go over some measurements. We have a ground clearance of about 16 inches. Now, keep in mind that this height's going to vary depending on your hitch height, which is the measurement from the ground to the inside top edge of your receiver tube. We'll go ahead and pull the pin at the top of the mast so we can swing out our dual arms. more
