Today we're going to be taking a look at the best trailer wiring harnesses available for the 2007 Toyota RAV4. We've got two different kits to look at today. Here we've got our CURT. This is part number C56165. Of course, just like our Tekonsha, this is going to give us a four-pole flat trailer connector, which is going to deliver our right turn and brake, our left turn and brake, our running lights, and our ground for our trailer or cargo carrier, whatever we decide to operate. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Toyota RAV4- Video
Today on this 2007 Toyota Rav4, we're going to show you the Curt T-Connector vehicle wiring harness, with a 4-pole flat trailer connector. Part number C56165. This is the parts that come with the kit. First of we will go ahead and tell you how it works. What happens is it draws power from controllable power supply in the vehicle through this black wire. It gets its signals from the left turn signal with the yellow wire, and right turn signal with the green wire. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Toyota RAV4 118412- Video
Today we are working on a 2007 Toyota Rav 4. Were going to install a Tow Ready T-One connector, part number 118412. Our first step is accessing the rear cargo area of the vehicle. If you got any cargo liners installed you want to go ahead and remove those now, and we are going to open up the access panel, and we are going to remove the rear threshold. Okay we will go ahead and set that aside for reinstallation later. Now all we need to do is gain access behind the tail lights on both sides. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2007 Toyota RAV4 118412- Video
Today on this 2007 Toyota RAV4 we will be installing the wiring harness part number 118412. We are inside the rear cargo area of the RAV4. The ports that we are going to be plugging our wiring harness into are located behind the interior panels of the vehicle directly behind the tail lights. That is going to be the same on both sides of the vehicle. We are going to need to remove a few things to gain access to those ports. First off being the middle threshold piece because we are going to be routing wires from one side to the other. Lets go ahead and start uninstalling the interior of the vehicle. We will also need to remove the rear section of the interior panel, there are clips here that we are going to need to release to open that up, there are also a couple of screws. With the cargo door removed as well just look right back here again just right behind the tail light you can see the port that we are going to be plugging our harness into. We just want to disconnect those two pieces and we will plug our harness in line. 01:03 more
