Before we do that though, let's take a minute, check it out and make sure it's gonna work for you. So with these Subarus, you know people do a lot of different things with them, which does include pulling some trailers around. And if that's what you plan on doing, you're gonna need a way to power up the lights on your trailer. That way you're not only safe, but it's a legal requirement as well. more

But before we do that, I'm gonna check it out, and make sure that this is gonna be the right kit for you. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Subaru Forester- Video
Today on our 2016 Subaru Forester, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the CURT T-Connector vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector, part number C56040. Here's what your wiring's going to look like once it's installed on a vehicle, and as you can see right now it's not visible at all. That's because it's underneath the cover here. When it's not in use it can be stored away under here so that you don't lose any of the usable cargo space of your vehicle. When you want to use it, simply remove it. It'll come right out here. more
